Are they fast charge ones?
Bargain, slow charge or not this lead is a lot longer than the standard Apple issue which is a nightmare sitting on the sofa edged over. Stormfront wanted £35, I laughed and thanked the guy for his time!
muh, i wouldn't trust any of them... Anker all the way from now on for me... 3m kevlar powerline charge cable £6.00 off amazon... I've had too many bad experiences with cheap cables... one cable couldn't handle the higher charge currents going through the micro b connector to my galaxy s4 and it burnt itself and in turn the phone's charge port out... thankfully the galaxy s4 is semi-modular (£5.00 off ebay for a replacement micro usb female pcb, and 5 minutes of my time with my phone and a micro screw driver kit)... as for lighting cables... No... just No... £11 gets you the Anker Kevlar lighting cable with 18 month warranty: amazon.co.uk/gp/…s=1 ... consider it an insurance policy...

Does it really matter?
As a side note, in Kinson, Bournemouth, only apples ones but for a pound great price. Good for spares for work or car etc .
Does the cable make a difference to the charge speed as well as the charger!

Still plenty of stock at tesco extra Stretford branch seasonal goods aisle
To clarify for anyone in doubt, these aren't the normally pricey "Juice" ones reduced to clear, they're a different brand named "Juice Bank".

There's no indication on the packet that these are MFI (made for iphone) certified cables.

we've had a nightmare with cheap iphone cables at work doing damage to the charging port, so we're sticking to MFI certified ones from now on.

Edit: to clarify the cheap ones we tried from poundland damaged the internal chip in the charging port that regulates power consumption.

We had a couple of phones flashing up messages about power surges even when we later tried to use them with official cables.

I bought initially one and quite happy with build and performance. They are not MFI. They charge upto 2A. These are also sold on Amazon and fair reviews. I bought two more. These are better than sold by poundshop and worth trying. No damage to charging port.

The original iPhone cables are flimsy and poor build quality so I preserve it for data transfer only.
