You waste money saved on the machine on overpriced pods in the end (even if they are a bit cheaper on ebay).
And the coffee is decent, not 'amazing' (my Sister has one of these), barely better than good instant coffee though.
I roast and grind beans at home, now THAT tastes amazing (and still ends up cheaper than these pods, more fun too).

    Not voted either way.

Me and my Husband really like it .. So I guess its just preference The price wasn't so bad we spend a lot on instant coffee so doesn't make too much difference to us

I spent just over £4 on 2 boxes so not bad at all and I LOVE the coffee so im happy
I'm impressed I often say I don't drink coffee as it's a grown ups drink. I'm a hot Vimto girl! Good find, heat added.

You roast and grind your own beans?
Where do you buy the beans please? Do you just tray them flat in oven then use an internet available grinder?
sounds great...never thought about that...your home must smell amazing!
I have this and have used the starbucks pods. Keep asking in starbucks as often they come up on offer as buy 1 pack get 2 free.

There are a few websites (including ebay) where you can buy various green beans. You can roast them in the oven, but it's not the best way. I use a coffee roasting chamber, and then grind them in my Krups burr coffee grinder.

I don't do it too often, as it's quite expensive and time consuming (although I enjoy doing it), but you can make coffee to your own liking.
Usually I just buy pre-roasted beans from the supermarket, as it's still better than buying a bag of ground coffee.
But yes, my home smells amazing when I do it.
