No Tesco should be selling in $
Considering the medium size eggs (around 125g) are only 75p atm, then it's better to get a couple of them if you want more chocolate for your money
The only thing I'll be stockpiling this epidemic.

Ah Yes that probably would have been the best option. They do seem to be still running the double the difference offer, unsure if it applies in Express stores though

What shall I do if I’ve been overcharged?
We do everything we can to make sure that you should never be overcharged. So in the unlikely event that we charge you more than the price advertised on the shelf edge or on the product, please visit any store’s Customer Service Desk (excluding Express stores) with your receipt. A member of our team will be more than happy to offer for a “double the difference” refund.

That is strange! When did you try to purchase if you don't mind me asking? Most likely it was just an error at the store you visited, that being said I am surprised the store did not honour it for the sake o a couple of £ !

Two days ago the staff were just like well sorry but if you are not going to pay the difference you can't have it

I was going to post it as a deal but didn't after that happened

That is pretty bad to be honest. Should have just gone back and purchased them all via self service instead (if they have them installed in the store you visited)

That is very poor service.I sugggest you phone up Tesco Customer Service and tell them what happened.Hopefully you still have the till receipt.I had a recent problem with a Tesco store where I got overcharged on the receipt.Double the difference still applies,
Offers at Tesco are not the same at smaller Tesco Express shops im afraid.

Thanks, I don't have a receipt as I never ended up buying it. I refused to pay more than on the price ticket and didn't think of using double the difference at the time

Surely, medium ones at 75p each are better value per gram. Why buy these (unless you want a mug, or are a "mug")!

That’s interesting! This year alone I have had to go back into Tesco due to the fact that I have been overcharged about 5 times. I’ve never had or been offered this , maybe because it’s an express do you think ? Do you know if it also applies reduced items? Thanks in adva

See @reindeer333's post. Doesn't apply at Express stores. The policy refers to the price on the shelf edge or product, the latter no doubt covering things like yellow stickers being missed (usually when a lazy staff member can't be bothered to cover the barcode when yellow stickering). Good luck finding a customer service staff member that will apply double the difference policy without a prod (unless it is just my Extra store that "forgets").
So are the medium still 75p & if so anyone know when the offer ends? Thanks

Yes offer still on and ends 10th March

The "mugs" are the size of egg cups these days. Not worth putting a tea bag in.
Will this be on offer for home delivery too does anyone know please?

Yep the Eggs are available to add to your online shop now for delivery
In my local Tesco there is a sign on the 75p saying limited to 50 per customer!

Sometimes they are and they’re getting g the £2 eggs.
The incident re the 75p mug egg sounds like someone has printed an incorrect SEL
Brilliant thanks found the one I’m getting

Nice deal
Was at Asda earlier. No TP, no Tissues and no eggs - except Easter Eggs.

£24 for a dozen eggs would normally be bad...
Not sure how to makes scrambled eggs with a Cadbury Oreo egg though.

Heated
Funny, bought a couple for 75p today and the bigger ones were stacked next to them. I asked a member of staff if they were going on offer and he insisted they weren’t! He told me once the 75p offer finished that would be it...I didn’t believe him. Will be back to stock up
I'm In tesco now.. Large ones with mug are £4 :/
