Saw giant one for 1.49 at Aldi.
A bit early for pumpkins... unless you actually like eating them
so it begins, the biggest event of nonsense in existance.
Does anyone know approx how many seeds you get out of a pumpkin? Is it cheaper to just buy the seeds or buy the pumpkin and take the seeds out yourself ?

I mean seeds to eat not plant. Asda do 150g for 90p but I was wondering if i would get more than 150g out of a £1.50 or £1 pumpkin making it better to buy the pumpkin and harvest the seeds myself.
Same size £1.49 each in Aldi. Don't get why this is so hot.

And if you do, these ones might not be the best to buy.
How long do pumpkins last without carving ?
Try roasting pumpkin seeds in the oven with a light covering of salt

It should last until Halloween easily. They can keep for months if stored properly.

really? We had one grow in the garden last year. We cut it a week before Halloween and it was mouldy by the 31st. I suppose we should have kept it in the fridge but it was huge.

Once you cut it it won’t last long but intact they last ages.

Depends on the size 😁
Average is 280 with 25 ribs.
What is the difference between normal pumpkins and Halloween pumpkins? Are these edible like normal ones?
Halloween ones don't taste great. They are bred to be spooky, not for flavour.

You can get like 5 meals out of one of those bad bois, don't be a hater.

Keep them outside, in a dry shed.
2 for £3 for all those poor women who didn't make it back before midnight, oh well.

Well if You need all the hassle picking the seeds out, cleaning and drying. It's much cheaper to buy them.
I'm here for the "spoopy deal" as directed from WhatsApp....

I doubt it, having just carved and cooked a few myself. The hassle of separating the seeds from the gunk, and then rinsing and drying/cooking them isn't worth the time (though does save on plastic)

Because these are better quality and can be bought online.

Granted you can buy them online and you can't do that with Aldi, but what makes you think they are better quality?

Where can you buy good quality pumpkins for eating? I've been on the lookout for them and can only find the Halloween ones everywhere.
Lidl and aldi both sell 'mixed squash' and there are often things that look like a small pumpkin. They aren't particularly big though, like the size of a butternut.

If u buy a bigger one I would say u get quite enough, 3-5 handfulls.definately worth the money and they taste so much better when baked in oven.
