Hard to find this type here.

Best mangos for me are the Thai ones....usually got from our local Asian supermarket.....think they are called 'nam dok mai'?
Delicious.

I agree Pakistani honey mangoes are the best hence I was asking the country of origin earlier. Can't say I've ever tried Jamaican mangoes so guess what I'm going out in search of today?!!

Pakistani honey mangoes are very nice but the last batch I bought were terrible ..

I then checked on the country of origin and it was grown in Mexico !!!!!

Avoid these unless they are grown in Pakistan.

Oh didn't realise they could be grown elsewhere. Will defo look out for that next time. Thanks mate

price is ok but as op said better price at asian supermarkets or larger outdoor markets, in the big market in Birmingham yesterday 4 for £1 which is usual price, and not that cheap for that market but unsure of origin

absolutely....also Alphonso mangoes good too. very expensive though around £8-12 for a box of 12.

Indian mangoes kesar and alfonso are the best

ok deal, you can get single ones for about 70p in some supermarkets so 6 would be £4.20, nothing special really and if you don't like them you're stuck with a whole box.

Try buying from your Asian shops is they have any... ask for alphonso type, they are sweet, stunning scent and delicious taste. Your kids will love them.

Saw box of pakistani mangoes at tescos today £5.50

Do no waste your money on any other mangoes. Indian mangoes are best. Even from Pakistani shops look for Indian mangoes - Kesar or Alfonso. Its expensive as it does not grow anywhere else, even in India it can only be grown in certain regions because of the climate and soil condition.

would be very hard to find alphonso now as they are out of season.

Agree 100% Alfonso and kasaer are the best but try finding them..had a bloke at work Who use to import them but stopped doing cos they were expensive...next best pak honey mangoes...I also eat the skin lol .eat a lot due to Ramadan

If you want sweet, juicy, no stringy bits, soft mango look for Chaunsa, Sindhri, Kesar or Alphonso. You can get this predominately from Asian shops.

If you want hard, sour, stringy, crunchy mangos buy from any major supermarket. They are usually big, round.look good but taste like sheet.

Indian mangoes can only be grown in India?

X) X) Priceless!

Alphonso mangoes are not as great as you make them out to be. There aee many other varieties of mangoes originating from Pakistan which are far nicer. You need to expand your horizons

Can't beat the Pakistani mangoes - ahhh gimme a box now please.

75p each in sainsburys at the moment
