Tesco Mars 315g Share Packs £1.50 w/th Sweet Sundays promo, so £3.00 for a cinema ticket!

My first post here but I think this one's worth it.

Was in my local Tesco in Richmond, Greater London to get some £1.00 Mars packs with the sweet sundays cinema ticket promo, but the sale price was being removed as I bought them.

Instead though they are selling the larger 315g share packs for £1.50 (saw MMs, Maltesers and Minstrels). Each pack grants you two codes on the Sweet Sundays site, meaning that two packs for £3.00 unlocks the free cinema ticket voucher! The voucher works both at Cineworld and Showcase cinemas among others.

I believe this will be a nationwide deal as these normally are at Tesco, but I don't know how long the deal will last, probably a couple of weeks at my estimation, so stockpile yours now!

I don't want everyone to get fat though, so try to not eat all the sweets at once! Pour them in a bowl or something to reach the code at the bottom quicker.

Visit sweetsundays.co.uk/ for more info on the promotion.

In case it's not already clear from the name of the promotion, note that the free tickets may be used only on Sundays.

They are the smaller bags for £1... thus costing £4 for the cinema ticket.

Yep you're all right..apologies - it was 185g M&M Peanuts I got at Cooperative for £1.00.

Just to add it was the same smaller bag offer in Tesco up until this week (why the confusion). I'd seen the smaller bags 120g-185g for £1 in Tesco (haven't seen the 315g offer at my Tesco).

Personally, so sick of the price fluctuations, all designed so you never know the 'actual' price/weight of products. (That's not just Tesco by the way, its not pure hate)

We should coin an espression when we don't know the price of something. 'I haven't got a Muller about that', (on the basis that no knows really knows the 'actual' price of Muller Yogurts)

Now that is hot.

Brilliant - I only managed to get 2 £1 bags that I liked, so needed another 2 codes - this is going to be a good alternative, and although will ultimately be £3.50 for sweets and a ticket, it's still 50p cheaper than buying the 4 smaller bags !

Hot, but my local cinema is a VUE.... and they're not in this

Good spot. Don't know if it's possible with the larger bags but I bought 16 of the smaller ones last week to get 4 tickets; by using a torch you can read the codes backwards from the bottom of the bag without having to open them. We got all the codes sorted without having to open any of the bags.

Still ain't going to stop me ending up three times my size by the end of the month right enough...

Please don't.

You can only claim two cinema tickets per email address, just to keep that in mind. Easy to get another email though!

Alternative if you happen to be in Poundland - they are doing the big bags of M&Ms and Minstrels - obviously a pound each . Pick up 2 of those and you got a cinema ticket for £2... bargain !

Just got 2 packs of 290g Minstrels for £3 in Elephant.. Hot..!

Nice deal, was planning to go to cinema this weekend so will pick up. Thanks for posting

Don't worry about the whole torch thing, it's near impossible to do so.

None in my Express.

Hmm... I just bought the 315g ones from a Tesco in Bristol and they were £2!!

I bought 8 of the small packs and ate them all, now I feel sick.

I also have 2 cinema tickets which i am yet to use..

Just been to 2 stores in the city centre. On Wine St they only had the smaller bags for £2, the other on Broadmead also had the larger bags for £1.50 near the back of the shop away from the main chocolate displays.

Yes, I nearly got stung buying 4 small bags to find they were now £2 each not £1. This was on the harbourside.

I always thought the Tesco main price database controlled the prices not the store, sometimes items scan cheaper even when still priced at their full price as they haven't updated the signs yet. Guess this proves otherwise...

Please don't sit behind me!!!!

Will be going to the Tesco on Rover Way (Cardiff) in a mo, so hopefully they got them there, £3 / £6 for tickets sounds a super good deal!!!

Poundland sounds better deal

Can see the Maltesers (230g) bags online at £1.50. Anyone got a link(s) to any of the 300+g bags? Seems like a darn good offer.

Just tried my local and they are £2 each for the big packs and £2.10 for the small packs. Do tesco instore price match the online price?

Does anyone know if you order them online, is there a chance you get none cinema promotion packs?

I would say there's a good chance as there was half and half stock on the shelves in my local store.

Good find thanks

At Tesco Friern New Southgate Express, they are on promo at £2.00 from £3.15

I bought a whole selection of the sweets when they were £1, the only ones I had trouble with the torch on were Malteasers, the brown bags worked the best.

£18 for 6 tickets it cost me last night! (and yes, makes a change that my Tesco in Cardiff was actually doing a deal!!!)
Big bags for £1.50, bought 6 tickets worth, that's a lot of choc!!!!!!

Yep i had to give up on the two bags of Maltesars i bought. I had to open (and eat) them to get the codes. All the others were easy enough though, and that was using a bedside lamp as I couldnt find a torch around.

£2 hear in Birmingham?
