Picked up the dark grey mens suit from Tesco today (includes jacket and pants) and was priced as £25, but went through as £13.50! (£9.50 for the jacket and £4.00 for the pants!). Great quality and amazing price for the bog-standard suit. Unsure if nationwide but worth a check. Also avalible in black.

Grrrrrr at cheap, plastic suits that only belong on chavs for their court appearances. Mens apparel should not be purchased at supermarkets.

This will not be quality, it will be poly-synthetic-flammable, shiny horrid sh*te.

Rant over

Not everyone can afford a high quality item ...ideal for lookin smart on a budget.

Ive looked at the ones at Asda and they were shiny unlike these ones. Can anyone else get a brand new suit for less? Seriously doubt it.

Oooh! ...Suit You Sir !

I think thats where Lee Evans gets his suits ???

But at £13.50 it's cheaper than jeans and a T shirt. Do your gardening and DIY in it!

Might look a bit funny though going round in jacket and pants. How much are the trousers?:)

If it soesnt suit you then it doesnt suit you. No need to be negative towards the poster. I see loads of stuff on here everday that isnt relevant to me but I dont have the time or inclination to put it down.

Are you by any chance an ex-Banker. If so you may just have to cut your cloth from now on. I suggest going down there and buying up all the stock in your size. Ask them if there are any shelf stacker positions available while you are there too.

Snob!

There's nothing wrong with buying clothes at Supermarkets. Personally, I don't like the look of the suits so wouldn't buy one, but all of my shirts and ties are F & F (Tesco's own) and they are great. My suits re usually the £40 Matalan type and I'm happy with that as they do the job

(includes jacket and pants)

Another Americanism coming into general usage or no trousers supplied?

They've been calling trousers "pants" since the dawn of time up here in the north east, though the term trousers might have to start to be used again, as the other term is more widely used to describe the local football teams' performances these days!

Can admit to having owned a couple of these when they were priced low last year. To be frank they were OK for around a week but the quality of stitching particularly around a certain area of the trousers are very poor. Both unravelled at a time it would have been preferable they didn't. In this case you do get what you pay for. Have a look round ebay instead there are some cracking deals to be had if you are careful.

they are cheap but when i'm doing a photo event i tend to be climbing up walls to get shots, kneeling on the floor and allsorts trying to get different angles. I used to do this in nice suits for them only to get ruined so now i use these cheap ones.

I don't throw them away, i give them to charity shops. they do the job nicely and for this price it's better.

I got one this evening from Horwich, Bolton. They also have 25% off formal wear at the moment which took off an extra £3.38 and still have the VAT reduction of £0.29.

So I got the suit for £9.83!!!!

You must be too young;-)

for that price its cheaper than buying a suit and getting it dry cleaned after each use! Just buy a new suit!

This deal is still going on- many stores clearing out their old stock including Sunbury, Newbury, Hemel, Reading and Watford.

The polyester ones look a bit cheap and nasty to say the least but I did pick up one of their wool suits for £60, which I have to say is better quality than the Yves Saint Laurent and Ted Baker ones I own. Was absolutely astonished at how good it looks although there were very few left on the rails and many stores have now cleared out the old stuff so selection will probably be a bit limited, but I got 38 chest and 34 waist which are fairly common sizes so could still be possible.
