If this didn't have such a gigantic screen, I'd be all over it. Went for a moto g3 from Amazon warehouse 125£

Hey dude, the model (Moto G 3rd Gen) you got is currently £90 at Vodafone. Locked but unlock codes on bay are cheap.
caution: single sim only not dual sim like it is direct from Motorola!

That's 8gb I believe. I needed the 16gb version.
P9 lite has away better specs then this and its £150 on vodafone
Very tempted with this or the G4 plus
Students get it cheaper direct from Motorola. Log in via UniDays to get 15% off, making it £143.65

Possible topcashback at 7.7% could make it as cheap as £132.59

Did you know that recent research indicates that the overwhelming majority of adults are, in fact, not students.

Wow really cool helpful reply, you're an asset to the community

Anybody can apply for an NUS card by registering on cheap courses. You'll also find that students use HUKD. As a student myself, I am able to use the discount code

As an adult, you may have children, children go to school to study therefore becoming students. Use their log in!

That's odd - I wonder why they left it out?

Same as the 3rd gen. No idea.
I thought lack of notification LED would be a problem but I haven't found it an issue on the Moto X Play i have which has the 'moto display' capability and I'd hope this model would too. I lift or wiggle the phone and any notifications are displayed. Not sure if the Moto 4 G4 version 4, 4g has this ability but would hope it does.

Amoled screen? This doesn't have one so not anywhere near as efficient. For those that care about that sort of thing
Good deal, but if my budget was £150, I'd be looking for something like a refurbished Galaxy S5. Significantly better smartphone in every way, plus it has the Marshmallow update

Yea, but you can't use unidays that way can you?

I've an NUS card via that method but I thought unidays and studentbeans needed more to get.

sure is dual sim? please point me to that, I'm after one.
I have a dual sim Moto G,but grabbed the vodaphone P9 lite,as the specs seemed better than the newer Moto's,but I am no phone expert!.
I am now wondering when the OnePlus 3 will be easily available....
And will it take a MicroSD,as I use my phone as a replacement for my 160gb Ipod classic nowadays.

Yeah!,you right there buddy!.

As I said,I mainly use my phone as an audio player,(and sat nav),TBH,I make/receive very few calls, only use a handful of apps,so I am debating wether it would be worth shelling out the extra cash...
Probably not,but upgradeitis is a right beggar!.
the listing says single sim, but all the devices being posted from moto maker have been reported as dual sim. can anyone confirm if dual sim phones are actually being posted as and the slot isn't a dummy slot

Seems like you just register on Unidays, I guess they then would ask for a scan of your NUS card? Mine's different as I just sign in using my Uni email address

The P9 Lite looks great for the price. Only negative is possible future updates to Android N. No idea if it'll get. Can be almost certain this will.

Direct from Motorola does appear to be dual sim, but would contact them to check first
i am so tempted
Nfc omitted?
Still deciding between this, p9 lite. Which will be least buggy 2 years down the line. Still on the moto g 1st gen 8gb
Looks good!! Got the G3 not very long ago, oh well, that's life...

I think it comes down to OS and updates. Moto G had stock and updates most likely. P9 Lite has fullt customized Android and updated are unknown. The latter has NFC too.

Stick on Google Now launcher and it is. Moto G is a great phone but no NFC means no Android Pay which is a deal breaker for me.
Not many reviews for it
Moto live chat confirmed moto maker g4 phones are dual sim.
but also said all uk phones are dual sim. not sure how much I trust their answer

I didn't say the Moto G doesn't have Marshmallow. I was more pointing out that the Galaxy S5 is still getting updates, which is never a given, especially with older phones

Moto G has stock.
Moto live chat say the phone is only available in dual sim in uk and tesco g4 is dual sim. fingers crossed...
