Tesco mobile Moto G 8GB - back in stock £99

First post.

(I realise this is not a deal as such as it is just what Tesco charge, but thought people might want to know when stock had been replenished ahead of Christmas)

From what I understand this phone is a bit of a game-changer in the budget phone space - excellent reviews all round. High spec for the price point.

Another good thing is you can 'click to collect' from your local store.

Picked mine up yesterday, and I have to say, it's way past my expectations. I had a Iphone 4 for a couple of years, but gave it to my son, and just used a basic Nokia. The motorola is a revelation, and being able to install apk files directly from your cloud storage is like a new world, compared to Apple.

Ditto, got one for my son on Thursday and had it unlocked within a day. I can't see much difference between this and my Galaxy S4 .... the Moto G has a less bloated version of Android, almost Nexus.

beat me to it.... ordered it then was going to post on here both versions are £30 less than anywhere else at the moment as you dont have to buy a top up as well cheap cheap to unlock if your not with tesco!!

I got one from phones4u, really can't fault it. Can easily take a full day of medium to heavy web browsing and app use, the screen is nice, using it is smooth and snappy, the ringtone speaker is loud (sounds minor but it's been a real issue on a couple of phones I had).

For some reason phones4u also sent me a new back through the post for free which was weird but neat.

Anyone know of any silicone/plastic shells for this? The size and casing on this combine to make it feel like it could slide out of my hand using one handed, would like to drop proof it a bit.

In regards to the price i will be picking mine up today but there is a code somewhere on this website to get £10 off... £89.99 for a great phone by the sounds of it!!!

use code TDX-RVNH to get it for £89.99

I feel sorry for all those people who thought the Samsung S3 Mini was a bargain yesterday and couldn't wait for the moto g to come back into stock. (unless they need expandable memory)

Use code TDXR-P3Q4 for £15 off. You just pay £84 and cash back via topcashback.

says no stock available. i have been checking regularly and have a stock alert set up which i havent yet received.

how much should it cost to unlock? do these have many bloated apps installed by the original network provider?

Out of stock

Very happy.

This eCoupon is linked to another customer account and it can only be used in that account.

BTW the stock alerts are rubbish. Just keep refreshing the page, it has come back into stock on a few occasions this morning.

Less than £2.50 to unlock from eBay and zero bloatware.

Thanks to the OP. It's in stock following the link but out of stock going direct through Tesco's site.

If you shop regularly at tesco and have their free clubcard you can earn points then trade them for 2 x their value at tesco during the exchange offer period or 4 x their value for some restaurants or days out.

Cost me £2 to unlock with a code off an eBay seller. Took 5 minutes. There is no added nonsense apps either, quite like my nexus.

motorola.co.uk/She…tml link for shells and flip covers

they are supposed to be bringing out cases with grips on the sides where your hands naturally rest on the phone when using it but i dont know when, read it online somewhere

Indeed, and if you fancy being a bit more savvy, you can opt to have your top cashback paid out as Tesco vouchers, then boost those vouchers (max £30 a year)

Easier to earn £30 that way than doing a £3000 shop at tesco (if they still pay out at 1%?)

does anyone know what size sim card it takes?

By the time you boot this device you lose nearly half the advertised memory just running the bloated os. 4 - 5Gb is just not enough memory for most basic users nowadays. Hence why these are so cheap. Don't rush in and buy this, you will regret it. Voted hot. For the actual price though.

Actually ooks good from a initially look ) but r notice -it deosnt support external memory.

Is this for brand new tesco direct accounts? Or can be used with any account? The more famous code giving £10 off can only be used in new accounts
