Added the basic info to the headline for you - cheers

- If you have purchased this from Tesco Direct in the last 28 days contact live chat on Monday and see if they will refund you the difference (potentially a £16 refund given that the selling price is dropping from £115 )

tescohelp.com/tes…tml

- If live chat does not work, maybe worth phoning customer service on 0800 323 4050

Nothing guaranteed but always worth a try

yes

All, Good deal BUT do remember that with MOST (if not all) Tesco mobiles locked to their network that it is a DOUBLE LOCK. My son found this out. The simple eBay unlock code for £5 or whatever is fine but then you will PROBABLY (not 100% certain) find that you need to send the phone back to Tesco for them to work their magic to unlock the 2nd lock - and charge you £20 for the privilege. Believe this is buried somewhere in the hardware.
If I am wrong then apologies - but do check before spending and then being like my son - a bit miffed is a nice way of putting it!!

Yes much better especially if wall plug is genuine.

Not on my Moto G 2013. £2 unlock off ebay in 2 minutes did it. There were some 4G models the indies could not get codes for - but the good guys didn't charge if they couldn't do. Do you have some more evidence, apart from your son, of this 2nd lock?

Spec wise it's on a similar level to an S3. Not quite so good in camera but overall processing power it isn't far off at all. Better in battery life.

The double lock refers to the fact that most Tesco Mobile phones are locked to the network (O2), and also to the MVNO (Tesco Mobile), which means they usually only work with Tesco Mobile SIMs (O2 or GiffGaff SIMs won't work).

Getting them unlocked with a code removes both locks though, so the double lock is only something to worry about if unlock codes aren't available by a cheap reseller (e.g. Nokia Lumia phones).

I just bought this phone today but haven't opened it so could return it and buy it again on Monday to get it for the cheaper price.

Or do Tesco do that thing some other sites do where if the price drops shortly after you buy it they will refund you the difference?

and we all doubted the poster last week who predicted this phone would soon be £99!!

Agree to above post. Have done this twice in past. The customer service adviser always no, but if you pursue and ask him to contact manager then they give refund for the difference.

I have this phone (using it now) and it's a great phone. Most reviews are excellent and the only thing I am a bit disappointed with is the camera, though this was mentioned in all the reviews as the weak point. So not a great phone if image quality is important but otherwise I can't fault it. Very easy and intuitive to use, screen is excellent.

Got this phone on Tuesday. It is a very good phone and worth it. What bundle would you recommend for a light user?

Very good price. Separately, the new model looks awesome. Dual sim with one of them supporting 4G. Wonder what that'll price at when it comes out here.

There's a article on the web saying Argos will price the new model at £159
