Yes 4g in areas where you can get 4g....

Handset is £84 on contract - see hotukdeals.com/dea…341 for a list of contract deals.

I purchased on contract from store and my handset is unlocked and I like it.

I think I'll trust the good reviews that Nokia's latest 'phones are receiving rather that someone who thinks they are 'loosing value' !

Can you send picture messages on this? As I can't on my lumia 800

Have you set up your MMS Access Point Names Settings? The settings sent by the network sometimes don't contain all of the settings you require.

I wouldn't know how to do that! But when I went onto Virgin site to set it up it says not available on this phone!

Oh, and my dad picked his up yesterday from Netherfield Tesco, they're unlocked.

Try following this for your lumia 800: discussions.nokia.com/t5/…400

As this lumia 920 should come from Tesco unlocked, you shouldn't have a problem configuring the mms settings using nokias access point settings app.

Btw mine bought on contract for £84 is unlocked. Tesco do have a pretty good 14 day return policy so you can always try it out for a while to see if it works for your needs.

Quite impressed with the phone, however do miss my n9 that I was using before this. Was so simple, versatile and smarter in certain areas than this...oh well

good price. heat

nice, just lacking in apps is the sore point

You heard of Grammatical Pedantry Syndrome?

It's not a grammatical error though. Just a typo or a misspelling.

I'd love one of these if I could get it in cyan.

Oh, I know. I wasn't implying that you shouldn't post it as a deal. It was over a month ago for the other one so it's fair game as far as I know. I was just saying that it was unlocked and how much of a good deal it was.

You can get the genuine Nokia Cyan cover for it on Amazon for £6.50.

Nokia CC-1043 Cyan Soft Cover for Lumia 920

They also have it in yellow, red, grey and of course the black ones too.

I am glad we can get top value phones for a good price .Maybe you like to pay £700 for an handset so that Apple can have a great share price,I don't own Apple shares and don't care for their share price or do I care for the share price of Nokia soon to be MS .It's great that these phones are coming at such a reasonable price, that's all that counts.

yeah, yawn if your waiting on them coming

So this lazy slagging off of Windows phone is bizarre. Can somebody explain to me exactly what apps you can't get? The number of apps available is nothing to go by. The Play store and apples app store are bulked out with endless crap copies of popular games as well as just total junk. This argument is so out of date. Incidentally I'm an android user.

what is frustrating from my viewpoint is apps come out first on android & iOS then windows phones are left 'waiting' for them to appear, whenever that might be

Great phone, what are 925's going for nowadays? They are extremely nice handsets btw

Lol that still exists? Heard of viber/whatsapp?

I own an Htc one and the screen on this Lumia 920 doesn't stray far in terms of quality. It's fast and mostly lag free at navigating menus, has a very high quality camera and offers most of the popular social apps people look for on a phone, only lacking when it comes to Gaming variety. I've told a few friends about this deal when they asked which one to go for, yet to them the price meant it cannot simply be in the same league as an I-phone (general concensus to some) and they wouldn't even look it up. It's funny how price can mean everything to those with lots of cash to splash, and we all know price doesn't necessary reflect quality. This phone is worth every single penny of the £169 asking price if not more.

If you are looking for an upgrade. Want a phone with a high quality screen, takes brilliant pictures in auto mode, and want to do nothing more than be socially connected, whether it be Facebook, Whatsapp, Skype, email, Viper, Google Maps.. why spend more?

I grabbed one for my Mum and it was unlocked out of the box. The box even said locked to the Tesco Network. Lies! Works on all networks. If on a budget and don't see yourself talking nonsense 24/7, pair this phone with an Ovivo sim card on the Freedom Plan which offers 300 mins, 300 txt and 500mb data for nowt on a monthly basis, and save yourself from being locked into an expensive contract for the next two years.

And don't tell anyone you bought it for £169, tell them it cost £400 and you know what, they will probably believe you.

In the main.... I find it's the people that have the least money that want, or feel the need to have the most expensive and on trend items to over compensate. Which is why they don't have any money in the first place. They seem to think nothing of throwing the little money that they have away on the most frivolous of items and have an easy-come-easy-go attitude towards a lot of things in life.

hot

i bought this phone last month (£152.10 with staff discount) really like it,one thing i cannot do is download adobe flash player (want to play bingo on my phone) anyone any ideas what else i CAN download seeing as i cant get flash?

I got this back in January and yes it is rather weighty but I don't know how you can call it ugly - it's superbly well made and looks a lot more expensive than what I paid for it. I had a Samsung Galaxy S3 prior to this and while it was great, it looked cheap and flimsy in a way which this Nokia doesn't. Obviously it's no iPhone, but then again it isn't an iPhone (with a price tag to match). And why do you say Windows is crappy? I've found it works fine.

Just bought a second one of these - got myself one last week and now one for my wife. A little heavy and bulky - but nothing drastic. Excellent camera, all the apps I want to use and the Internet using a data connection is much faster than I used to get with my Huawei W1. My daughter has a Nokia 925 (virtually the same phone bar the weight and casing) which she chose over another iPhone. Horses for courses - but this is a very nice, high quality phone. Personally, I like the Windows OS better than Android and find it hard to believe that paying two or three times as much as this would get me anything significantly better.

great phone , got one for £89 on a Tesco contract upgrade.

a few niggles, like no separate volume control for the ringtone , but Windows phone 8.1 is coming soon with some major updates.
