Not really a deal. Their standard price.

Won't recommend at all, worst network coverage of all, I am on sim only contract from June July 2013 and moved to south west birmingham recently .Calls dropping very often in south west birmingham, I called them to report and was told that they are having this issue since end of January and will continue at least next couple of weeks. They did not offered me the cancellation of contract without £30 early exit charge.

I live in Oxford and never go to Birmingham Tesco have perfect coverage here so I'm well happy with this deal.

I am thinking of going for this deal but Iam south of Birmingham in Bromsgrove. could try the one month deal I suppose.

Not correct, their previous £12.50 2gb deal only had 750 minutes, not 1500 like this one.

well my point is, worst customer service I have ever had. The customer representative did recognised and agreed that there was a problem and calls were dropping rather than apologising they won't let go.

How good is your phone with calls dropping frequently. Stay away

To say I never go to Birmingham isn't actually true, I have flown from, and picked up from the airport there on occasion.

You should try Vodafone, they will admit nothing, all done in an exotic accent, then hang up on you free of charge, the world's worst customer service, but when you ask to terminate contact, surprise surprise all of a sudden your talking to someone with a perfect British accent, init.

I have a leaflet picked up in store at least a month ago which states 750 mins for 1 month contract and 1500 mins for 12 month contract - It also states £2.50 extra for 4G.

I'll second that, Vodafone are the worst by a country mile. 2 years of no 3G, no compensation, no apology, no customer service. Don't go with Vodafone. I liked tesco when I was with them, might look at this deal. Tesco or 3?

Very good coverage here in Kent, pretty good customer service and great prices. An excellent deal.

Have you thought of trying Virgin Media - They have a rolling 1 month contract for £15 per month for unlimited calls, unlimited texts and unlimited data or £18 per month for the same plus all "08" numbers

Gr8 Price!

Weq4u app for all 08 numbers free on mobiles

Where I live in Bournemouth, O2/tesco are better than EE/Virgin in my experience. But it's very subjective on where you live. Just try a free sim to check in your signal. 3 are better for £12.90 for unlimited data, but only 200 mins, so your choice.

Was gonna go with 3 but they've just upped the 1 plan by £5 to £20 so I'm gonna go with this, and because I'm taking the same deal out for my daughter, they give you an extra 250mb per line.

Agree, try a free SIM first. Don't let the sales people, Internet coverage checkers or anyone tell you that you can get a perfect signal. Do it yourself

I just taken out this, will carry on with this until an exceptional deal comes my way which includes a decent handset

just finished Tesco contract, signal is good for me, but the best thing I liked was that you can cap your price plan, funny how Tesco can do it but the big boys seem to have problems

I'm with Virgin, I get 1200 minutes, 5000 texts and 1Gb of data for only £6 as I'm on a loyalty deal (they thought I was leaving), it's a cracking deal in itself but I have to be honest, the data service is erratic, if I had to pay full price for it I'd look elsewhere. They piggyback Orange & TMobile and apparently EE but I have a EE mifi at work and my mifi gets a good data signal when my phone doesn't.

For anyone mentioning signal issues in South Birmingham, I've had those with O2 as well! I've had a couple of new sim cards and seems to have fixed it for now.

tesco more or less = o2 so check coverage
tesco allow capping which i think is awesome
at that price you cannot go wrong
customer service has been fine so far (online chat they sorted out my porting issue in minutes)

Your contract worked for you before you moved. Why should they waive the termination fee now that it doesn't work where you are?

Advice to others, before joining any network on contract, you should give them a test run by buying a PAYG Sim and topping up the minimum to see what it's like for calls and data.

Also, I have to say the standard of English on this thread is beyond poor.

I'm with Tesco and my only complaint is my internet speed, quite a bit slower compared to other people I know on different networks. But the customer service is excellent I've found. I've never had to wait long in a queue, the person operating the phone can actually speak English and they have always been friendly, courteous, to the point and helpful. Can't say the same about other providers *cough* Orange *cough*.

Voted cold because the OP needs to go back to school and discover the grammatical device known as the full stop.

I just took out a SIM only earlier this evening with Tesco. 250 mins, 5,000 texts and 500mb for £7.50, 12 month contract. Better than the retention deal T-Mobile offered me.

The irony was that the sales rep could barely hear me due to my poor EE reception, I had to keep moving rooms.

Tesco mobile do seem to be customer focused from my first impressions of them.

I'm just south of Brum and travel widely. Four different handsets in the house with Tesco mobile and all work well. Their prices are excellent and their customer service is exemplary. Wouldn't go back to O2 (rates and cs) or Orange (everything) if you paid me - really.
