Tesco Motor Oil 5w30 Part-Synthetic 2Ltr - £2.00 Gillingham @ Tesco

Just been to Tesco Gillingham and popped into the petrol station for oil and all own brand part-synthetic motor oils are working out to a £1 a litre for all variants.

(£4 for 4Ltr and £2 for 2Ltr). 5w30, (Part-Synthetic) 10w40 and 5w40 were available.

The price tickets were not in yellow and all variants online are out of stock and some are now fully synthetic, although still showing normal prices - possible end of line?

Wish I had popped in earlier, only had a couple of 2Ltr bottles left for my car.

Sweet, I'm just going on the hunt for so more to stock up on route to work. Must be some left between Gillingham and Dover!

I wouldn't even want to use this in my lawn mower, never mind a car engine, this is why i'm really picky when buying a used car and try to find one that an enthusiast or careful owner owned, as if mine had been run on tesco oil topups in-between OCI's i'd have walked away.

Any oil is better than none/old stuff well past it's usefulness. I'd also be more interested in why the vehicle was burning or leaking oil, but then that's just weekend mechanic me

If you can afford to use better oil than ofcourse do but there is nothing wrong with cheap supermarket oil if it's all you can afford and your car needs a service. This would be hot but is bound to be a Tesco wild goose chase so not voting.

They are Nationwide if the garage has stock.Have seen them in 4 garages in the east since thurs. Some havent changed the price tags, but its what you will pay for these old design cans.

Sorry, can't find the part that the person said his oil was burning or leaking

this is not cheap supermarket oil, they have part synthetic and full synthetic at £5 for 4 litres. You would pay nearly £30 in Halfords for the same thing.
