Theres quite a few offers on new potatoes at the moment, but this is a good size for the price and the quality is excellent, waxy with an almost creamy texture, would be good in salads

apparently reduced from £1.69

currently £1.00 in asda for 1.5kg

An impretza is only for people who like buying fuel ;-) Aesthetics of an old shoe IMHO

:Bought some of these yesterday and cooked them in a big pot in the oven with some lamb and lots of veg and stock-yummy!.

This has to be a joke?

wow a great price, can't be doing salads at this time of year though, will roast em up

and what's wrong with them being a waxy and creamy variety? am I missing something?

I thought you couldnt get cream and waxy at the same time.

2kilos of organic potatoes for 84p is excellent! The 1.5kg bag in asda is £1. these are HOT potatoes!

I thought it was waxy or floury in texture and creamy describes the colour, some potatoes are more yellow whereas some are a more creamy white. Any potato experts out there lol ;-)

I really need to go and do something useful :whistling:

can you mash these badboys?

well, strictly speaking, waxy potatoes aren't really suitable for mashing - you need a floury variety for a good old mash - but hey, go for your life and mash mash mash!!!

thnks:)

maybe that's what I meant (failed)

tried some, very nice texture, as good as some of the better 'new' potatoes out there, but I spose it depends on the variety you buy as this will probably vary

Avoid like the plague, this is a really unethical product.

These organic potatoes are grown in the Egyptian desert where due to the dry arid conditions they will happily grow without usual potato pest problems. The only problem then is that the farmers are irrigating with a steadily dwindling supply of groundwater, and then they are being air freighted to Europw to meet the insatialable demand of supermarket buyers.

I'm deffo not a tree hugger but this is very wrong. Buy this cheap glut product, they probably over ordered, if you would be happy buying clothes so cheap because they were made in sweat shops by kids.

Voted ice cold
