Tesco petrol 99.9p a litre too, and diesel only 109.9p

I know this has been posted for Morrisons/Asda, so thought i'd let you know it is at Tesco too, and more impressively the diesel is the lowest i've seen at £109.9p a litre!!

Not at all Tesco's - probably onlythe ones near to Asda/Morrisons.

My local Tesco today was still 106.9 / litre for unleaded.

Still 105.9/115.9 in Basingstoke :x

Tesco copdock was still 102.9!

prices at the pump should be much lower as the price of crude oil has dropped from almost $150 a barrel to $70 a barrel.. price at the pumps should be half the price it is....

Half the price? That would make is 50p a litre - hasnt been this price for about 15yrs.

You're forgetting a couple of things:

a) Fuel taxes
b) the fact that oil is priced in dollars and the £ is dropping rapidly against the dollar.

Just wait a few weeks....Slug Eyebrows will be whacking the 2p tax increase on fuel pretty soon, to 'pay for the bank bailout'.

Also, have you noticed how diesel was about 5p/litre more than unleaded when it started going up...now it's coming down, it's suddenly become 10p/litre more than unleaded...

Was still 103.9p in Bristol Eastville (just off M32). The Shell up the road was 100.9p, and Morrisons in fishponds was 99.9p.

Give it a few more days and will be be cheaper than a litre of Goats Milk :whistling:

c) the cost of refining hasn't decreased.
d) the salaries of those transporting the fuel rocketed!
e) the salaries of those selling the fuel hasn't decreased.
f) the rent that the forecourts pay hasn't decreased
g) the cost of electricity required to run the forecourt hasn't decreased.

The list probably goes on and on!

Petrol is pretty well the same now as it was when oil was last at the $70 mark. A few pence higher but given the fact that inflation is running at 5% a 5p difference between the price of fuel the last time oil was at $70 is surely acceptable.

Will stick to my lovely free used chip fat :-)

£107.9 and £117.9 at my Tesco today

Do we really need loads of petrol price posts :whistling:
