Seems like a good plan to me, appear to be matching giffgaff/three. Can't find it online so listed as in-store only.

And you don't have to feel bad about giving money to tesco. Don't think this deal's anything new?

Virgin have the £12 / month rolling contract for 2000 minutes, unlimited texts and 1gb data usage if people don't use up too much data but like yammering.

Which network do tesco use??? Anyone know if they let you keep existing number?

O2. Yes.

Fair use applies to tesco! So won't be actual unlimited data

My experience of Tesco's 'unlimited' data FUP is 2gb p.m.

My unlimited data SIM only deal stated 500MB was the FUP..... so worth reading the small print.

I have just moved from Giffgaff to Tesco as I got fed up with the poor administration and customer support of my GG account.

I was with Tesco before moving to GG and their customer service was excellent. They even waived a £500 bill when I accidentally streamed Internet TV for five hours in my briefcase.

With G G you really do get what you pay for, cheap package but poor and unreliable service. I would rather pay the extra 90p.

I think that this might be on the Three network? It matches up to the info on the Tesco Phone Shop website:

Tesco Phone Shop

Is this with tesco mobile, as I rang them and they know nothing about this deal !!!!!!!!!!!!

Try calling again. Tesco sent out a mailshot with this promotion in it this morning so the stores should be aware.

Been using tesco for 3 years now got this type of deal when it was £10 (now £10,21p due to vat increase !). rolling month contract with a 30 day cancellation fee. they use the o2 network. customer service very good. unlike orange there is no charge for picking up your voice mail. I have never been charged extra for going over 2gb data as someone sugested, so i take it really is unlimited. i also kept my number, and club card points to boot. all 4 in my family are now using tesco.

Are you able to tether on this to your laptop or tablet?

But this deal is on three, isn't it ?????

Yes this is the Three Ult.Int.SIM200 30d - £12.90/mo 30d - 200m, 5000t, Unltd - £25 TCB/Quidco - eff. £12.90/mo + 2mo free

So buy it from Three via TCB/Quidco and save yourself some money!

You can't tether with Tesco Mobile

You can't tether with Tesco Mobile

But this looks like it's on the Three network (not very clear however) but still don't think this Three tariff includes tethering and they're pretty hot about tetherer's

Tesco don't allow tethering (at least, not with an iPhone as the option in Settings is disabled. You can if you jailbreak, of course). Also, you can't use HelloMail either (free visual voicemail app).

Giff Gaff Unlimited, better & cheaper, yeah right!
I used their service for tv & movies on the move & in bed on an android device & was cut off repeatedly for supposedly breaching their terms & conditions, even though their was certainly no breach & the usage was totally legitimate, for which I offered proof.

Considering A movie from the play store can be up to 3gb for HD and most tv episodes downloaded from legitimate sources like BBC iPlayer can average at 400mb an episode, download just 1 a day WITHOUT TETHERING & Giff Gaff will soon revoke your internet privileges & all without warning, which breaches their own terms & conditions, then they inform you it's within their rights even if they SUSPECT you are using it illegitimately.
They have even cut people off for using less than 500mb in a week, 1 legitimately downloaded movie for use on an android device.
After You have been cut off, just the once, you are targeted continuously, & cut off without notice & without good reason well before the end of your month, & often within a week of topping up.
So, no, Giff Gaff are far from unlimited

Gifgaf said I also breached the fair data use policy but my apps up date all the time I just never paid attention to what they mean when they say unlimited. Yes I'm always reading Facebook but I don't recall going on during the day . Just to tracking my shopping ..?& e bay They've give me the boot if anyone has any recommendations let me know .
