500 points, tight sods, I got near enough 500 points just on some grocery vouchers they sent a few weeks ago. Heat added for find though

500 points is worth how much now?

Any sign of this instore for points collectors?

£5, or up to £20 with the boosting

Depends on how you value the points - straight face value conversion is £5. However used in a boost event on Tesco Direct/F&F - would be worth £10 (next event is November). If you used for ongoing redemptions could be worth £20 of vouchers e.g. Pizza Express

Link tor current redemption offers tesco.com/clu…ls/

p.s. current points collection period ends 22nd October, approximately will be a week after when the points get converted to clubcard vouchers

Cue the individual deals for every game Tesco stock

Without the prices per game this ins't much of a deal. I often find prices cheaper online a few weeks ahead of release. I'd rather pay upfront no more than two weeks ahead if the price to begin with is great. Example Rakuten I pre-ordered WRC5 for £34 and I will be getting about £8 or so in points back upto two weeks after buying. I'd rather get a low price to start and in the case of that 25X points a big return to use on something else after.

I find Tesco deliver to close to the release, never late but always last minute. I do think once I had something three days late but this was some time ago.

It's always best to pick the best price going and save money upfront rather than paying more and getting points in return.

Though can these points sometimes be worth twice or even more the actual value? If so then these could be worth £10 or more in return.

when this was on I used 500 club card boost to pre-order a game, so when the 500 from that comes through i'll be ready for the next boost event.

on their own, this isnt great. but much like rakuten you can infinitely stack these offers for consistently good deals. I have my next 6 or so games pre-ordered for sub £30 thanks to juggling all this stuff

Was thinking about preordering the below on Friday when I get paid, but I'm going to have a look online before I do incase I can get them cheaper elsewhere
Star wars battlefront
Need for speed
Just cause 3

great deal op cheers

Any idea if i get the points if i already pre=ordered?

Only if the offer was on at the time, it will indicate if you get extra points under current orders. If not just canx and reorder it.

150 bitcoins which is the equivalent of 14.5 unicorns

Previous deals were much better - half of these games were £35 in the previous pre-order promo with the £5 off voucher...

Unfortunately rest of the games coming out this year are rubbish and we won't get good releases till next feb When The Division, Far Cry Primal, Dark Souls 3 & Uncharted 4 start rolling out...

Thanks for the responses, aren't Tesco lessening the value of points? Sure I got a letter about it.

Think you may be forgetting about Just Cause 3 and Fallout 4 there.

I thought that was only with regards to collecting points using their credit card and points accumulation on fuel?

I think thats just for credit card purchases, well i hope so anyway. if not my stash of vouchers will be instantly devalued as i have nothing to buy atm.

Remember to keep an eye on the price before release, as you are given any price difference back on release date. I pre-ordered PS4 Star Wars Battlefront last month for £48, the same deal of 500 points bonus, but I used the clubcard bonus and used 1000 points to get £20 off, the price came down to £42 a few weeks ago, so I rang Tesco and they refunded me the £6 immediately to my credit card, so in the end I paid £22 after using my points and I got a further 500 points back, hopefully it will come down in price again

A word of warning-won't matter to nearly everyone but if you are moving house before the release date they cannot change your address on an order - only cancel the order! I did this wits just cause 3 and because I bought the game in a deal with codes I only got refunded £25 which wasn't enough to cover just cause and they refused to cover the price of me reordering the same game despite their awful system that can't deal with changing the address of an order!

They do i have got money back after a price drop.

They do, but only on release day for the price difference, I bought Star Wars BattleFront for £48 start of September (release date 19th November - using cash + £10 Boost), the price then came down to £42 two weeks ago, so I rang Tesco and got the £6 refund difference, they did not do this automatically, so if the price was to go back upto £48+ on release date, Tesco would not give me a refund based on my purchase price, even though it dropped in price in between.

If you look at the games on their site it states:

'If you pre-order this product, you pay today's price at the online checkout. However, we promise that if the price is cheaper on the release day, we will refund the price difference'

Tesco nearly always get undercut by online retailers. Can't see any point in being locked down with Tesco.

I agree you will probably be able to get this £5 (maybe even £10) cheaper on release day but as the points are worth £20 - this makes it a hot deal.

Yep, Tesco are not the cheapest, but if you use the 500 ClubCard points for restaurants etc, they are worth £20, I use these quite often when away, so it is worth half the price of the game at £42. When I pre-ordered the BattleFronts they had the boost on, so I used 1000 vouchers to get £20 off also, so with 500 points back worth £20 to me, the game was virtually free at £2 when considering the points and cost to me.

Deal is worth it if you're a Tesco customer and you take advantage of the Price Boosts. Perfect for Christmas presents! Was going to order AC Syndicate anyway. Thanks for the share. Seems like only a matter of time before Amazon introduce a points system. eBay encourage Nectar points, and all the other stores have a points loyalty scheme it seems...

Just preodered Battlefront & Just Cause 3 but haven't received my clubcard points yet, are they put on instantly or does it take a few days to appear on your account?

My points appeared in my account within a couple of days, you should be ok for the cut off point for this points period which ends on 22 Oct.

What happens if you order something on the 21st and the cut off is the 22nd, the purchase occurred during the collection period but the points may take a few days to appear, does that mean they go towards this collection period or the one after?

Hoping my Preorder bonus points pop up in these next few days

Ordered some games on Sunday. Still no points.
Doubt these will be credited before quarter-end.
