All the beef (and meat in general) I have got from Tesco is poor quality, better off getting meat from sainsbury's, it is much better quality. That said; decent deal if your happy with Tesco meat. Voted hot as a deal.

What do you mean by poor quality? I often buy the free range organic chicken from their best range, and it is rally tasty.

What a ridiculous generalisation. Tesco meat is not poor quality at all.

Tesco and Asda beef is tough as old boots, I agree that Sainburys and Morrisons beef is far superior. It may be the area I live in I don't know if they have regional suppliers?

free range chicken from there is brilliant but I agree that their beef & lamb is atrocious in general

I used to sole my shoes with Asda beef until I started pressure-cooking the stuff for 10 or 15 mins before roasting as normal.

It depends on the slaughterhouse from which the supermarkets source their meat. It is likely in one area that all the beef comes from the same place. As to comparisons amongst supermarkets - generally poorer than buying at a local butcher.

Tough meat - freeze, defrost and cook slowly!!
