How many old used empty printer ink cartridges do you have cluttering up you're house?

Thinking "maybe it will come in handy one day" or "just in case"

Well forget that, and send them to tesco! Send the ink cartridge off in the special envelope available in-store (freepost) write you're address and clubcard no's on the enclosed slip and put it in the envelope and post!

It couldn't be easier... you will then be credited with 100 points (worth £4 in deals) for each cartridge sent!

Better than recycling them in the recycle bins where you do not get anything, do you're bit for the environment and get £4 deals vouchers as well !!! EVERYONE IS A WINNER

i sent loads never got the points.

they do have to be cartridges that tesco accept see tesco.com/gre…age for more details.

Unfortunately they don't do it for LaserJet toners...

Nobody seems to recycle Epson carts! Maybe it's cos they have that little 'smart-chip' on the back? No - it's because they are cheaper to make than re-use!!

New info: This place inkcycle.co.uk/emp…php will give you points (1 point = 1p) to spend at their website. Epson Carts get 20 points each... The only drawback is that YOU have to pay for postage!! Infuriating that we can't dispose of our Epson carts without it costing us or the environment - not even a recyclable symbol on the cart to say we could just bung it in with the normal plastics...

Shame ive got an epson. Still a great idea though

Mainly due to the epson carts just being ink wells, the HP, Lexmark etc cartridges include the print heads

My Epson Carts Cost Me £2.20 For A Full Set So Im Not Too Sad:)(epson Stylus 670)

no body recycles epson as they are not illegal to copy

it is illegal to manufacture lexmark or hp unless you have a copyright agreement. both companies limit the amount of catridges on the market very tightly as this helps to control price and helps to stop refills

Epson cartridges ARE illegal to copy, they have some of the most stringent patent laws on their cartridges in the industry. Compatible Epson/Brother carts are slight modifications on Epson originals, and how they get round the copyright laws. Generally the branded and unbranded carts are made in the same factory, using exactly the same components.

It wont really be all that long before the likes of the fat cats trying to "control price and stop refills" will be forced to stop trying to control this, and we will all be forced to re use and remanufacture cartridges.

And to manufacture lexmark or hp cartridges, all the remanufacturers do is drill the hp or Lexmark logos off the original cartridge and refill it with hp or lexmark ink.

As said up there somewhere, Epson is just an ink tank, and there is no technology in them, just a fe clips and springs and sponges to soak the ink up, so thats why they cannot be reycyled with normal plastics.

Try these people, they offer cashback on all sorts of items for recycling

Voted this offer hot anyway, as its a good return of points for stuff that is just lying around.

That makes sense.

So nobody can really make any money by recycling components, because there are none!
