Carphone warehouse without gift is 39.50

So the £35.75 is just for the phone, no SIM plan, which is obviously extra, if you shop on somewhere like buymobiles.net, you can get the S8 on three (other networks are available) for £36 a month with 30gb of data[https://www.buymobiles.net/contract/samsung-galaxy-s8-black/36-essential-30gb-ayce-min-24mths-24], not to mention the £31.50 cashback through topcashback and it only being a 24 month deal [https://www.topcashback.co.uk/buy-mobiles], it's actually cheaper to do that and just buy the 'gift' yourself.

Shizzle , I can't see the picture very well on desktop, the deals title/description doesn't help and tesco's website isn't that clear either, still for £0.25p more pm 15xs the data and only a 24 month commitment

these gear fit 2's must not be selling very well, seem to be giving them away every other week

'Free'...when you pay £1072.50...

Try Samsung shop, I did S8 on offer at £689 with £100 off on offer = £589 they also buy your used phone and you get finance through them over 2 years at zero %. That is mobile only.
I bought a Three SIM card for£9 per month, with 4gb data unlimited mins and texts for 12 months, will see what sim offers there are in 12 months for the second year.
Also when you purchase S8 after 30 days you can apply for a Samsung VR headset and controller Free of Charge. Check out at Samsung shop

Last time they were used to help shift the soon to be replaced S7/Edge. Now the phone is current and the gear fit has just been replaced!

I just got the Note 8 on a 30 month contract. Brought the price down and to be fair the slow speed at which phones are advancing now I'm not too bothered about being caught up in the 24 month refresh cycle. Kept my last phone for 3 years. And it's flexible so I can always pay off early if needed.

Phones are advancing faster than ever, hence Sky, EE, SAMSUNG etc are all offering upgrade programmes after 12 months. So i'm failing to see the logic in your statement.

So 12 month contracts benefit the seller, of course they want you to upgrade every year, thats good business. And every year with every annually upgraded phone most reviewers say that the upgrade is not enough to buy into it if you have the last phone. Hence, my comment. Perfectly logical.
