did the sim only deals ever go away?

I've had the £10 500/500/500 1month rolling contract for about 18 months and been very happy with the service, shame they don't offer call forwarding or tethering (officially)

Here's the Tesco mobile sim only page

This is the normal price for the Tesco SIMO packages. They are a regular feature in the SIMO Deal Summary at this price.

Not a bad deal, but it is worth knowing that Tesco typically do even better offers on their SIMs twice a year.....
Just using a similar deal as a stop gap to the S3, must admit I find the Internet slow, when you can get it (where I am anyway).
Isn't giff gaff better value for £10 goody bag?
cheap!!!
I'm with giffgaff, its a rolling 1 month contract

250 min, unlimited text and data, 10pm
400min unlimited text and data, 15pm

So far no problems, they use O2 network

If you don't need the minutes then yeah.
What does everyone find the Tesco coverage like? ive seen mixed reviews about calls dropping when O2 gets busy as they have priority service?

im looking at either this Tesco deal or the Three deal (although not sure about their coverage either!!)
As a previous poster mentioned, the deals are all available HERE

I asked about this the other day in misc, and went for it as it's cheap for me at £10 a month, as my mum only has a mobile I use it on call to her .
Yep as stated before, please look at the other deals before buying. Some of them are a significantly cheaper if you do cash-back. hotukdeals.com/dea…944

Examples:
Three -- SIM600 (12mo) - £12/mo 12mo - 600m, 3000t, 1GB - £81.82 Quidco - eff. £5.18/mo
Talk Mobile -- SIMple - £8/mo 6mo - 300m, 1000t, 500MB - £30 cashback - eff. £3/mo
find giffagff deal better becase i use 500mb of internet im about 2 weeks

500mb isnt really enough if you have a data hungry smart phone. not saying this is a bad deal but all of these deals are posted elsewhere as others have said

I've been on this same SIM deal for just over a year and have no intention of changing. It's surprising how much 500mb gives you on a phone, I use it everyday quite a lot and hardly ever go over 300mbs by the end of the month. I've been with Vodafone, TMobile and Orange and find I get better signal coverage on Tesco mobile than I did on the previous three. Really good deal for a tenner.
Decent amount of minutes but think GiffGaff is better value personally. Been with them since Christmas, no problems yet! Their £10 plan is brilliant for smartphone users:

Giffgaff use O2 network but Signal is Quite Poor for me always falls in and out of 3G.

(_;)
I will be moving all our mobiles from orange to tesco over the next few months and was looking at some of their deals yesterday. I'm hoping to get my 6 mobiles down from £140 a month to around £60-£70 with tesco.

Really?

Been on this deal since December and its in the metro every weekday. A decent deal from Tesco. I tried to get O2 to match it, they didn't, I walked. I have never had any problems with this tarriff (I get a text message whenever my data usage sails close to limit), the only let down is the cost of calling up customer services (not free) when I needed to set up internet and voicemail (instead of the crappy "welcome to Tesco mobile voicemail message").
Giffgaff £10 goody bag is a much better deal. I moved from this Tesco tariff to Giffgaff about a year ago and am well pleased. Particularly as all Giffgaff to Giffgaff calls and texts are free. Also I think they are still doing the deal where you get an extra minute of call time for every minute a non Giffgaff call is received on your phone. It is a no brainier if you like eat all you can data.
I use over 500mb in just a week, so giffagaff is great for me, my wife has it as well - giffgaff to giffgaff is unlimited minutes.

No call waiting , no visual voicemail ? I had poo reception on iPhone 3gs and SGS2. Changed to 3 UK. Much better ;))

Agree with this, preivously on t-mobile for 2 years and found their internet more consistent (I know reviews state O2 is the best but this is based on personal opinion) especially now that you can use the Orange network too.
Giff Gaff seems to be the best 1 month contract at the moment according to others but as ive found out if you do encounter problems then you come unstuck ,promised number porting failed on day promised, you rely on other members sorting problems out which can be a pain and waiting a while to say the least.
I've been with giffgaff for 6 months but I have just started using 500+ minutes a month 2000 texts and 500mb data. If you are making lots of voice calls giffgaff probably isn't for you. That's why I'm going to three mobile.

It's right. Quidco states "£81.82 for all SIM 600 12 months"

The Three offer is a long term deal which appears 3 times in the HUKD all time Top 5 Mobile deals!

As it says in the SIMO deal summary -

"THREE (Three network)
SIM300 (12mo) - £10/mo 12mo - 300m, 3000t, 1GB - £54.50 cashback - eff. £5.46/mo
SIM600 (12mo) - £12/mo 12mo - 600m, 3000t, 1GB - £81.82 Quidco - eff. £5.18/mo
- More is less! Add "All you can eat" data to SIM600 for £3/mo. Use can be capped. "
IMO this still doesn't beat giffGaff
This is a good deal don't get me wrong. I have been on the same deal (1 month rolling) for over a year and its really good. I would say Giffgaff is better as it has a rolling rather then a 12 month one.

I took the same offer, quidco tracked but not confirmed yet
Is the giffgaff data ever capped when it says eat all you can data? I was going to go with the Tesco deal however unlimited data is a huge temptation for tethering my phone to my laptop when travelling.
Dont Tesco charge alot if you go over your monthly data limit?. I recall somebody mentioning that this was quite high compared to other providers?. TMobile for example just drop your bandwidth I believe when you do this.

With Smartphones consuming so much data (especially if you use YouTube) this might be a worry you could do without?
went from tesco to Giffgaff then back again, what waste of time, it should be called giffphaff, no auto top up, reminders every month, poor signal, no telephone support. I like the idea but it's so much hassle it's not worth it.
I have the whole family now on Tesco 5 phones cost me 52 per month! (I have the 12 iPhone contract) perfect. No worries about kids going over, easy to bar premium calls. and a good network coverage. Forget these stupid long term contracts get the phone off Ebay or new and get a sim only, cheaper in the long run and you can change your phone when ever you like.!

Tried 0161 705 5344 or 0161 705 5378 ? or why not just ring 4455 from your Tesco Mobile?
Just noticed the £10 per month deals aren't for iphones and they are £15 per month for the same thing. What a joke, what difference does it make if you have an iphone or an HTC or any other smart phone?!

Has anyone got the £10 sim and used it in an iphone 4? My Son has the £10 deal in an iphone 3GS fine but that uses a normal size sim.
Great deal been on this for a while. No problems.
