seen this posted a few months back but the deal is back again!

I pay £10 a month for 500mins, 5000 texts and unlimted data as a staff member so i think this is a good deal.

Contracts can be capped too and if you are a staff member (or know a staff member) you can get this contract for £10 a month (which i will now be doing).

Slow death by way of trolley boy.
o2 the worst network out there, I should know I'm with o2 and the 3g is rubbish and if you do happen to get a 3g signal it'll be the slowest you've ever used believe me, o2 have the worst customer service who will give you the biggest load of B.S.
If you go over the data allowance do they still charge you four quid a meg?
i think it is 60p per meg over the allowance

So as a matter of interest what is the best network/the best network for 3G....Want to make sure I make the right choice when signing up with a provider.
Never had a problem with Tesco. Heat added
I get 500 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited data for £10.21pm. We joined when tesco first started doing sims. We were with o2 who said they couldn't do the same deal????????

Just because tesco uses O2 masts etc, doesnt mean that o2 are going to offer the same deals as tesco does it?

I have to agree that o2 are shocking. I will never use them again. Even before this recent fiasco I was disconnected for 3 days, poor customer service, mis informed. Voda for me all the way...
I am on this tariff and my bills have never been so high. Tesco seem to charge for lots if things outside the bundle. My bills are £40 a month ish. When I was on a similar tariff with voda I never paid more than my bundle and my usage has not gone up. The online billing from Tesco is also shocking, I'm sure they are charging me for normal calls.
O2 are a pretty good network IMO (ignoring the recent issues, as everyone should know by now technical problems happen occasionally), I've been with everyone else and 3 are by far the worst in regards to signal and customer service...hence why they're contracts are generally the cheapest out there.

I'm not sure if tesco do the same thing as O2 (i assume they do) but when you reach your data limit they just cut the bandwidth down but don't charge extra.
Don't forget if you get two or more for the rest of the family or for your business you get free family perks (extra minutes or data):

About 3 years ago I would have agreed with you but things have changed and 3 uk are better, and 3 uk have very polite and helpful C.S, and they dont slow down your data speed at all, I use my iphone 4s on 3uk for tethering to my mac and it is always quick download and upload speeds, I travel all over the country and always get good 3g signal, as for o2 I get none 3g signal in most places and when I do get 3g on o2 which is very ware it is the slowest of all, yes I have o2 works phone and I have 3uk personal phone and 3uk are the best.

Truth is it depends where you are.

O2 are meant to be crap but are by far the best for where I live and work.
T-mobile (in partnership with Orange) were rank. Couldn't get a signal anywhere in yorkshire, including Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield city centres.

Voda have always been solid, if not spectacular.

3 used to be crap but seem to have got much better recently and always seem to be popular on here.

Best thing to do is get some free SIM cards and try them for a day each. Best one wins.

I have been with every network for at least two years, travelling the country and ALL networks are the same in terms of customer service they are ALL appalling regardless of call centre location. Signal varies depending on your location SIMPLE AS! the best thing to do if to find out where you spend a lot of your time needing your phone so as usual its work and home and try some paygo sim cards from all networks or ask neighbours/colleagues what network they are on and check for 3G signal etc, no matter what coverage check says there will always be black spots for all networks in different locations.

Vodafone have real issues, I left the network (after 10 years as a happy customer) due to 6 months of problems after problems, and shoddy customer service...recently tried signing up for a new contract, as sadly can only get a signal with Vodafone round here, and they even thoroughly screwed up the order process!! Cue a cancelled order...didn't want to go through that again. Sadly sounds like some of the bigger networks have gone downhill badly

On a brighter note, was with T-Mobile for a year, very happy with their customer service...not much they could do about the lack of signal though! I would also avoid 3 Mobile, due to highly unpleasant experience with them, however to be fair that was their mobile broadband, a different department. Sad that so many companies have such truly appalling customer service, must lose them a lot of customers.
