Just buy one and slice it up

No it isn't

This is a money saving site and this is cheaper than a fresh courgette. What are you struggling to understand as I may be able to help?
Goodness me some people like to be difficult BUT I am so grateful to all the kind people who post these deals, as a pensioner I find it very helpful Has anyone seen this deal in their Tesco . Our Warwick store is totally useless with bargains or reductions we just do not see them at all. But still good to know they are there for some.

Buy one slice it up and put it in the freezer

I’m guessing that you’ve never actually tried this method, otherwise you’d realise that there’s a method in preparing any vegetable etc before freezing than just ‘slicing it up’

That’s all well and good, however they’re handy to have in the freezer if required. I make a lot of casseroles and stews so frequently have various frozen veg in mine. Voted 🔥 op

A quick check - fresh courgettes around £1.60 to £2 per kilo so 26p for 700gms is a bargain. Heat from me.

I agree with you there.
Good deal - especially if just going into a casserole or something. These are cheaper than fresh courgette.... and if we are getting funny... grow your own for the price of the seed!! 😁 I have for the past 2 years - plant 'em, water 'em, harvest 'em for weeks!
Good price. I use a lot of frozen veg. Courgette is one of the worst but in a stew its ok.

You started it by being critical! Also just to be pernickety, I usually purchase fresh veg but I reiterate it’s handy to have frozen on standby.

Worst vegetable ever, horrible taste.

The best one is a bag of frozen chopped onions, saves a significant amount of time and discomfort!

Absolutely agree! The discovery of frozen onions revolutionised my cooking. Tesco* do nice sliced red onions / diced white onion and whole shallots. All £1 per bag. Love 'em!
*I do not work for Tesco
Buy a courgette and chop it up!!?! It takes all of 10 seconds and is good to eat fresh - what on earth is wrong with people?? Freeze only what you have to freeze. You don't need to freeze courgettes. Thought this was a joke when I saw the title - also gotta love the deal picture at the top - those frozen courgettes look disgusting lol - they actually look rotten

Onions I can understand... I hate chopping onions and they can affect your eyes etc. And shallots are a real pain and nightmare to peel etc. At least there's a reason for having chopped onions I suppose... but courgettes(??)?

Also - I think the veg that wouldn't normally be fit for sale, probably ends up in these bags as they will remove the dodgy / rotten parts and you wouldn't know. Also as a general rule, veg/salads etc that have been precut / pre-prepared are always found to have more bacteria on them too in tests. Best to inspect the whole fruit/veg, clean and chop stuff yourself as at least you know it's fresh and properly cleaned.

That's all i do with my spare courgettes that i grow, wash and dry them, slice then up to thinnish rounds ( 5mm) layer them on a tray and put the fan part of the freezer, once froze i break apart any ones stuck together then place in freezer bags, dead easy

I think you are a little confused as nobody has said you need to freeze courgettes. I personally don't buy them frozen however I did pay 60p in tesco for a single courgette this week. Since this is a money saving site it is a good offer.

P.S I look forward to you posting your first deal after 10 years a member.

If contribution is measured on negativity I would happily agree.

They do look rancid on the picture though, courgette should be white inside not brown
Looks like they have been frozen then defrosted and then frozen again.

Voted hot (as opposing opinions aren’t allowed here.
Image was taken as the product defrosted photographers don’t understand the concept of capturing pictures when frozen so no really issue with quality.

This line is discounted because it’s delisting with the supplier so grab a bargain and fill up your freezer before they are gone
The conversations on this site are too funny! 😄. Some people just LOVE to argue and I don't think they really care what they argue about! Grow your own / buy very cheap (slightly brown) frozen courgettes. Who cares!?
Here's a general thank you to the poster of this deal - and to everyone else who posts about something they find priced cheaply... somewhere... - since that is the point of this site.

Okay, I can get you a box of courgettes for £2, only a slight bit of mould, just a 40% chance of getting E.Coli, and I’ve chopped all the brown ends off already..........A FULL BOX!!!! ......just meet me round the back of the grocers at midnight

Epitome of laziness and wasteful use of plastic (most likely not able to be recycled either)

You deem it as arguing, of which you’re perfectly entitled to albeit erroneous, however some see it as discussion irrespective of the wording/facetiousness, or more importantly in your mind the fact they’re slightly browning courgettes!
I concede the purpose of this site is posting deals, also it’s known for members to converse about various items exactly as have people on the 10 deals you’ve posted, just because your opinion on this particular convo is amusing doesn’t deflect on the several purposes of hotukdeals. Have a good day.
