Was just about to post this. Great spot. Nearly bought it on Monday at £50, lucky I waited. Better half works for Tesco, plus vouchers brought this down to £20 for me.

I ordered one for collection tomorrow, just in time for the football.
Will be excellent for my 10 year old Sony Bravia and I'll be watching it in exactly the same resolution as all those 4K TV buyers!

Thanks OP.

Picked the last one up from my local store. Not sure if i need it though, do HD recordings get encrypted like on the humax?

This may well be the same question as Stevie Cross is asking, but I'll ask anyway...

Can recordings be taken and edited on a PC with appropriate software?

Ta!

Hi,

Order one.

Thanks

This is a Bush rename to Technika, still good though

Any reviews to the Bush equivalent?

Set it up last night on my Technika TV and it was a nightmare from start to finish. The TV is setup downstairs at the back of house (effectively underground) using only a £10 one-for-all aerial with perfect reception on every channel.
Plugging in to the freeview HD box was horrible. The picture on every channel was jumpy and most channels (inc. all HD) were missing despite retuning three times and moving aerial.
We then tried it on main TV upstairs with roof aerial and it picked up a few more channels but picture was really choppy again. Going back this morning!

Seems like poor signal issues, some receivers have more sensitive tuners than others, I am surprised you did any good at all with a small portable Arial. Not sure I will even open mine if its crap, got enough rubbish without more

That is down to a poor aerial system, not really the fault of the unit.

Got mine today, I've also got a fairly flaky signal in my bedroom from a loft aerial, the box didn't even scan any HD channels so it's going back.
I've got a roof aerial for my main TV downstairs so I'll just have to add another and route a lead through the roof for HD channels.
Box seems okay, fairly quick menus, it's a little cheap that you don't get an HDMI lead or batteries for the remote but hey.

Thanks, cancelled my sky last night. This should keep me going.

I picked one of these up the other , one of the worse freeview boxes I've owned , will not pick up all channels , most epg info missing the remote control is so unresponsive , this will be going back shame really as it was cheap.

I agree, thought it was my signal causing the lack of HD channels, dug out my old Technika HD recorder and everything works fine, watching the HD football on it now.
Junk, returned it today.

Anybody get the remote control features of this unit working with the xbox one?
