Important. This deal is not a guarantee there will be any stock in the store, so please don’t make a trip you wouldn’t have made otherwise just for this item - we should all limit our time out of our houses to help slow the spread. Please also shop responsibly - don’t stockpile, and consider whether you could help out any vulnerable neighbours or friends.

Just seen Tesco are cutting petrol and diesel prices down from 12/05

Source

"The supermarket giant has announced that from tomorrow petrol will be no more than 99.9p per litre while diesel will not be above 105.9p per litre."

Tesco’s buying manager for fuel, Rodger Beer, said: “We’re cutting the price of fuel in our petrol stations to help our customers save money by shopping at Tesco during this challenging time.”

I would imagine so however some areas may not update their prices straight-away as is always the case.

If you have a choice of supermarkets Morrisons was first to drop the prices and Derv is a penny cheaper.
Finally
Its been £1.03 for weeks at my local, hope it goes below £1 tomorrow

Was still 106.9 in Bridgend South Wales this afternoon, local "branded" Garage less than a mile from them has been 100.9 for last 3 weeks
Tesco typically add around 5-6 p to their"out of town" prices *
Remains to be seen if it's nationwide.
* Where there isn't an Asda nearby.
My local Tesco doesn't have much competition. Currently 106.9p for unleaded and 113.9p for diesel. It doesn't usually go down as low as the price they say it will.
oh man just filled up at TEsco this morning @ 103.9p... could have saved £1.25p lol
petrol at Asda Wallington Superstore was 1.02£
wonder if they dropped prices as well
Cheaper at Morrisons.

Likewise sort of, although they are near an Esso & BP station, they all charge a premium compared to elsewhere in the country.
Just think 57.9 TAX per litre !!!
Why are asda dragging their heels, they usually start the price reduction.
“This deal is not a guarantee there will be any stock in the store“

The only thing is not guarantee that it will be not this price...
Diesel Still £111.9p in Tesco Dover ... Get your fingers out & drop the price you greedy sods 😡
Thanks for this @merb0786
Don't have a Morrison's petrol station near me for miles so this is useful
Hopefully other company's follow

I would be curious to know how much the government makes on a typical day (as before the Covid19 crisis), when you think of the number of vehicles, it has to be tens of millions per day, surely

Still 1.07 litre in my asda
Hoping the momentum 99 will be decent price too having to fill up with this and 15mpg is hurting the wallet! Having said that not for the last month though

Kerosene which petrol is alleged as by-product of producing kerosene (internet says so must be true ) has been as low as 18p a litre recently so if suppliers can sell at that price (plus 5% vat as heating oil) there should be no real reason, except for greed and profit, for petrol to really be selling for around 80p a litre and still allowing garages to have a nice profit margin...after all when buying heating oil (kerosene) the suppliers have to also factor in delivering to peoples homes whereas garages have the people come to them
