Good enough for a small work kitchen I'm sure, like a small office environment.

If you buy 8 plates and mugs etc you only need to wash up once a week.

Does it really matter? You eat with them then wash them. I don't want diamonds in my cutlery, well..... I wouldn't say no lol

guess some people like their pretty plates... all eventually end up broken anyway. heat

Not voting hot on this I'm afraid - I know from experience that cheap cutlery is a real false economy. It bends and breaks easily and won't last.

Spend a bit more - it's better value in the long run.

This is cutlery mate i.e. knives and forks.
It does matter, EvilEdenX. That's like saying why buy carpet why not just throw a load of newspaper down, you only walk on it anyway

not hot...not mircowave safe...

Yet another one of hukd's illiterates...

They're their, calm down - he could have buyed them, after all

I've had Tesco Value cutlery when I was a student, still got them stashed away somewhere, but when I used them, they did the job... like any spoon, knife or fork.

I have these, have had them for almost 4 years, only broken 1 bowl in all the time i've had them, i use them in the microwave too, do the job just fine.

snobby gits on here

or maybe they think "cutlery" are plates!.

Maybe it includes the plates — just as it seems to include the flatware, also, and not just the cutlery.

I have bought Tesco value cutlery just like this 3 years ago when I was skint living independently for the first time and they are still in the condition I first got them. As long as you look after them they will not break or bend.

Also, for safety reasons, you should not microwave any kind of metal at all! As someone had previously made cold because it is 'not microwave safe...'

heat added.

Stainless steel can never be microwave safe

Don't think you could beat the price, but not good VALUE as they are p!ss poor quality
you can get some decent ones in the likes of TK Maxx without breaking the bank

I've never understood how anyone can not know the difference between brought and bought. Their, there and they're can be forgiven, just, but come on they're two completely different words with different meanings. I've seen people using it for years on the likes of eBay but on here you can say something. I'm sorry but I have to as it really bugs me, yes I have OCD issues oO

Edited by: "collectorcol" 11th Mar 2012

Just googled it, yes I'm bored, and it would seem it's a common issue. There are people actually asking what the difference is. oO

I bet these are not made in Sheffield!!!!

I suppose a hot deal for the home starters, but whenever I have had the misfortune of putting cheap cutlery in my mouth it has always made my tongue tingle.

Value cutlery from Tesco probably won't last long.

I bought the following almost two and a half years ago and they're still going strong. If there's a Wilkinson's near you I'd encourage you to spend a couple of extra pounds and get something that lasts. I mean they're not a hotdeal if they bend out of shape after a couple of months.

hotukdeals.com/dea…481

Edit: I forgot that they're not 32 piece. I guess that does make this a much better deal. I guess it really depends how much cutlery you really need.
