Spotted this last night when I was in getting some cooking/baking supplies. Only seems to be the salted though as unsalted was still 98p.

it dosent show it on line just looked

still 98p in my local Tesco

I wonder where the milk comes from for this. Thailand? China? Korea?

A bit like their Value Chicken, which "isn't from caged hens" - because they keep them outside or in huge sheds in Thailand....

padair

still 98p in my local Tesco

Yep me too....but it was 50p in another store nearby. Tesco slow to update deals as usual I think!

Iceland - 2 for £1 on decent branded butter!

This butter is really good when you compare it to the plastic **** such as "cant believe, wont believe"

Will check when I'm next in.
They also do Willow which is a butter mix (a 'butterspread') which is pretty darn close to normal butter!

To those asking where the buitter comes from... What do you think happens to the butter that's no longer in semi-skimmed/skimmed milk and that we get charged the same price for?

Fact is, you've already paid for it! :-)

Caged cows?

I'd put an extra 25p and buy the Kerry's Irish Butter. Good quality BUTTER.

Unfortunately I've stocked up on the Lurpak Butter with oven tins when it was on offer, or probably still is, otherwise I'd go for the Kerry's Butter.

Very carefully written. Look at the paragraph about Tesco Standard and Value Chicken. It doesn't mention where the Value chicken comes from at all, or what the welfare standards for Value chicken are. Draw your own conclusions....
