Asda and Sainsbury's both do same price deals on their basics … Asda and Sainsbury's both do same price deals on their basics range.http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/sainsburys-price-comparison/Nuts_And_Seeds/Tesco_Value_Roasted_Salted_Peanuts_200g.html

Id bet a hefty wager they are IDENTICAL nuts...just packaged slightly different for each supermarkets budget range.

These are mainly undersized nuts that arent above regulation to get into premium brand packets

Thats an old wifes tale.....

Obviously if you eat these to excess then yeah, like anything youll get fat...but its been proven that eaten moderately , they do more good than bad and even aid in weight loss.

Last year these reached 35p at my Tesco. I think they blamed it on the price of salt.

And funny how you can never get these nuts after November, but KP and Nobby nuts are all over the freakin store!

I eat them all the time. They are off putting now once they printed the nutrition info on the front.

Go nice with the crisp sandwiches or rolls.

KP Peanuts are the shizz. Nowhere near as cheap but have you tried the salt and vinegar flavour? I never knew they existed until I saw them in the shop at West Middx hospital. Heat added anyway but trust me people: once you go kp you never go back.

The Tesco value peanuts are gorgous while the Asda ones are dissapointing. Definitely not from the same source.

Thanks...considering buying these but might wait a bit to see if any slightly cheaper peanuts turn up...

U sure youre not mistaking the 'Value' range with 'their own' range?? - because all the 27p 'value' ranges in Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys will ALL be from identical stock....they will all be in identical sizes bags, they will just have their individual labels. I know this from experience ;-)

i agree with scotland ya bass, i have tried both the tesco and asda value peanuts and much prefer the tesco ones

the asda ones are really greasy in comparison

in a general comment that i think the asda own brand stuff is a LOT poorer than their competitors.

and yes i know your comment above is true - i work near (and shop at) a ready meal production factory and they produce identical ready meals for several supermarkets
