I've just been to Tesco and noticed the price of their value ketchup has dropped to 25p. I remember buying it for the first time a year ago and it was priced at 38p back then - it's gradually been coming down in price over the year. Personally, I love the taste of cheaper ketchups, much more than a brand like Heinz, but I recognise that some strongly prefer Heinz so this deal won't be for them. All in all, I think it's a steal at 25p!

use this in a empty bottle you usually use and see if anyone of your family notice the difference, same with any cheap brands. my kids dont know the difference and they are 13 and 16 years old. why pay more when you can save.

Thanks great price and nice sauce

Very good sauce. Hot.

I buy this sauce and its not as bad as you think it'l taste, great for adding to dishes when cooking as it has that sweetness. Overall won't argue and good value

hot price

Not keen on this one - hot for price, but way too much vinegar taste. For me, Sainsburys equivalent tastes far better for around the same price.

Michel Roux was once asked what his one "secret weapon" was that he would never be without.

Ketchup was the answer. I use it in cooking all the time.

Check the tomato content in the value sauce against the brands, I think you will be suprised.

Tastes too vinegary to me to use as a sauce (I'm a brand snob for ketchup!), but great price to use in cooking!

love this stuff always put it in a Heinz bottle and not one person has ever questioned it

Definitely more vinegary than the named brands (and yes the sainsbury does taste better imo), but 25p is a great price for this and we use it all the time (well my son really does use it all the time on almost everything!)

You have to be kidding? There's a HUGE variation in tastes of different ketchups, and a lot of the cheap ones make me heave.
You do find the odd non big name brand that is decent, but mostly they are vile compared to Heinz.

I've had this one before, and as kevcal said, it's very vinegary (like most of the cheapest ones).

I actually prefer this to Heinz. I'm not sure why!

If your looking to save then this is a great price but personally I think Hellmans is the best tomato ketchup.

Great value for making chilli sauce, recipe from 'the takeaway secret'

6 tablespoons tomato ketchup
4 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon mint sauce
chilli powder to taste
pinch of salt

I think this tastes as good as the big brands and always buy it

I also recommend Sainsbury's Brown Sauce, Basics 540g - 30p

use this in my cooking
for table sauce i prefer morrisons basic tomato sauce which is around the same price (cant afford heinz when kids empty half a bottle on thier plates ).
