Freezing cold from me.

We've had one of these for about a year. About 30-45 mins of use from 2 mins wind up. Also makes a hell of a racket when winding.

OR Stick 2 AA cells in and it lasts for months and months.

Not recommended for the wind up bit. Works well otherwise.

Yes, that's what it says on the box.

Next thing you will moan that it hurts your arm. It's £3.89!

Get's positive temp from me and some added karma for staying so dignified when replying to an idiotic comment ;-)

Yes, I had that one and i'm very pleased with it for £3.89. Build quality is decent and the flashlight is a bonus as it's actually very bright.

Hopefully there's more stock in stores nationwide  Defo a bargain to look out for.

I have one of these and use it daily. Two mins winding (yes it is noisy) can get you 40 mins with lowish volume but if you crank the volume up high you get a lot less.

My 23 year old son is a kack handed oaf (too strong for light work.... ) who has managed to be too rough with it and has loosened the winder so that it I had to glue it back into position. If you wind it steadily and keep the winder in the same plane as the radio without wrenching it then it's OK. If you are heavy handed like him, then you can cause some damage to the connector between the arm and the dynamo. On a previous wind-up radio he snapped the arm in two!

Since son used the normal radio in the bathroom at high volume and ran down my batteries in a week then this has saved me quite a lot of battery money. I'll be off to buy another tomorrow but I'll keep the receipt this time in case he kills yet another. :x

Hurts your arm!

OK, voted hot, can't be bad at £3.89.

Had one of these for a few years.

Use it on the allotment and it is great. I use the winding time to have a break from digging

Red hot at this price

These are eco-friendly, a cheapo version of the clockwork radio. lol

Will this work when digital radio takes over?

Of course not. But that won't happen for at least 6 years. It's only Digital TV that is switching over at the moment.
