The Tesco WMV610 washing machine has a maximum dry load capacity of 6kg and a 1000rpm spin speed. Energy efficient, the WMV610 uses an eco-logic system that detects when the machine is half loaded with laundry and will automatically decrease the energy consumption upto 50%. While its overflow protection detects potential problems with the water supply that may cause overflowing. In case of unevenly distributed laundry, the WMV610 will redistribute the load inside the drum and adjust the spin speed to achieve optimum spinning efficiency. This model now comes with a 2 year parts and labour warranty. Information on how to claim is provided with your product upon delivery.

Having a look online it looks like it's made by Beko, the buttons are the same and the model numbers they use are very similar.

good price if its all you can afford, heat added

Vestel is Beko , so you were correct in your first assumption that they are rebranded Beko machines.
I would rather have Beko than the Chinese brands (Haier etc)

Vestel is Beko

Not according to Wiki, they say they are rivals. en.wikipedia.org/wik…eko

I always thought Beko and Vestel were separate but I have seen 100% identical under counter fridges, one Beko and one Vestel branded.

Never had any issues with our Beko fridge except the increased risk of fire lol

Does anyone know if they fit and take away the old one? Want to order one for my old girl.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago. Its playing up already. Its spins when it feels like it and the main washes take forever.
Very poor.

maybe got a bad one as it seems there is a lot of genuine good feedback on the site? was thinking of buying this on my nationwide credit card bring it to 3 years free warranty - perfect for tenants...

1000 rpm for 6 Kg is simply too low. But good price though

unfortunately delivery only...
the website mentions taking the old one away for a fee (£7.95 I think).. but the option is not there to select
When I phoned the helpdesk they said they no longer provide this service!

2 year parts and labour warranty

Wow, they are generous today, both parts AND labour??

Most washing machine warranties are parts only. The cost is in the labour!

I would agree, our 10 year old and still going strong Zanussi one that is 5KG load is 1100 spin and when replacing it want both a bigger capacity drum and a higher spin speed...1000 rpm for a 6KG capacity drum is woeful.

Have done some research and apparently spin speed isn't the be all and end all.

Firstly, a bigger diameter drum will exert a larger centrifugal force on the water, for and given spin speed. Thus a larger drum should dry better than a smaller one.

The length of the spin cycle has an effect; longer spin cycles will do a better job, as will multiple cycles.

Thirdly, the design of the drum holes has an effect. Larger holes will generally mean that clothes dry better, however, large holes will generally cause more damage to fabrics.
