More details about the kit:

The eZ430-Chronos is a highly integrated, wearable wireless development system based for the CC430 in a sports watch. It may be used as a reference platform for watch systems, a personal display for personal area networks, or as a wireless sensor node for remote data collection.

Based on the CC430F6137 <1 GHz RF SoC, the eZ430-Chronos is a complete CC430-based development system contained in a watch. This tool features a 96 segment LCD display and provides an integrated pressure sensor and 3-axis accelerometer for motion sensitive control. The integrated wireless feature allows the Chronos to act as a central hub for nearby wireless sensors such as pedometers and heart rate monitors. The eZ430-Chronos offers temperature and battery voltage measurement and is complete with a USB-based CC1111 wireless interface to a PC.

The eZ430-Chronos watch may be disassembled to be reprogrammed with a custom application and includes an eZ430 USB programming interface.

Just tried it and it works fine. At the payment step you have to enter 868_BF coupon code and click Apply. This takes the price down to $29.99.

Happy to help :-) Mine is on it's way already. Should receive it some time soon.

Just be a little wary that as the purchase is over £15 you could get hit for the VAT if these get stopped going through customs.

On a single watch this would be around £3.60 for the VAT but Royal Mail charge £8 to collect the VAT so you could end up with an extra £12 ish on top of your order.

Criminal I know but worth a punt if you're feeling lucky.

*Edit - more info here - I have personally been stung by this. I won an item off Ebay which was only around £10. Carriage over was £15. The seller declared the value of the item as £80 (which was what it was worth, not what I paid for it !). I had to pay the VAT on the declared value of £80 + £15 carriage = £17 ish plus another £8 for them to collect it (and maybe plus vat on that but I can't remember). My £10 bargain win ended up costing me a heck of a lot more than I bargained for.

bbdom, TI uses DHL to deliver goods. I've ordered a few items from them under £50 and never got charged any taxes. Mine should be delivered soon, I'll let you know if I need to pay any VAT to receive it.

Thanks - it would be good to know. If they do use DHL then they have a much fairer method of calculating the VAT and handling charges (Parcelforce charge £13.50 !)

DHL

With effect from the 1st December 2012, we will charge a flat rate of … With effect from the 1st December 2012, we will charge a flat rate of £5.00 where the total Duty and VAT charge is less than £250, or 2% of the total Duty and VAT amount incurred, if the charge is greater than £250

So for an individual to order one of these, for a single watch would attract an £8.60 ish charge from DHL.

Of course it may be the charge is so small they can't be bothered (fingers crossed) but worth bearing in mind

I also ordered goods from China a week ago valued at $70 and wasn't charged a penny for VAT so keeping fingers crossed :-)

Ha ha - China is great - they never declare their true value of items on the packet and Royal Mail seem to turn a bit of a blind eye if they do. I still try and keep under the limit though for Chinese orders - once bitten twice shy as they say.

Dispatched today morning 26/11/2013

I ordered mine yesterday - 26/11. TI site now saying that estimated dispatch date is 4/12.

Mine is already dispatched, the website says it should arrive in 7-10 days. Oh well, no rush. :-)

Had an email from them this morning, apparently their parcels are sent to europe in bulk and not individually.Guy said when they arrive in Eu they will be sent out and you will then receive a tracking number.

Sounds promising Hopefully they will clear them through Customs themselves

Please keep us updated

My 2 arrived today!
