I was looking for a cheap paper shredder. Found this at tesco. Ordered it the other day. Will be picking up today after 4pm. Not yet sure about the quality. But i'll give it a try. Says can be powered either with batteries or via usb.

Some info
One of the smallest, neatest shredders on the market, the Texet USB desktop shredder makes short work of all your unwanted papers. Its lightweight and compact design makes it ideal for everyday home use. The Texet’s 120mm entry slot width is large enough for folded A4 documents. Whether you’re looking to dispose of receipts, credit cards, envelopes or folded letters, this versatile shredder will take care of it, quickly and efficiently. This shredder plugs directly into your computer’s USB port for convenience and optimal power, but it can also be used with 4 X AA batteries.

i'm gonna try that later. i'll let you know.
From the reviews accessible via Tesco's website, it looks like it is only just about good enough for single folded sheets of A4 or receipts. Still let us know how you get on!
2 things would stop me from buying this;

1 - I can't see it having the 'umph' to shred very much, perhaps the occasional receipt, but if you are going to need a 'proper' shredder for other paperwork why not just use that?

2 - Have you ever seen teh amount of 'paper dust' that a shredder produces? There is absolutely no way I would want one anywhere near to my computer, let alone plugged into it!

Good luck with it, but personally, I'm out.

Not voted either way as the deal might be VERY good for the shredder (I don't know), but I just wouldn't buy one!
