Dont tell porkies. Came out only yesterday. Very good official app

Not a deal!

Shame it won't work with visitors oyster

One thing wrong with this app is that you have to wait 30 minutes after paying to get your money credited

If you have the 1st generation oyster card it won't work with this app, so you need to pay £5 to replace the card then top up your oyster card as well, so your losing money if you don't have the new card already like myself

That's nothing compared to the old system of collection from a nominated train station the next day by tapping in (even if you don't intend to travel by train)... This is a great improvement i'd say.

Not true. You simply need to get the old card refunded and then get a new generation card so it costs you nothing but the time to go do it.

How is this a deal?

do we have to touch it on train stations oyster terminal first to get our oyster card credited. As far as I know your credit wont top up if u use it straight on the bus oyster terminal or has it changed. How do we know if we have the latest oyster card.
one more thing, people who own the old oyster cards dont get the £5 back. By old i meant the free one we used to have

Deposit for the oyster card has been £5 for years. It was £3 a very long time ago after it stopped being free.

How much does this usually cost to make it a deal? Or is it just a conversation about an app?
