YI Dome camera has been well covered before here, but this is the best price I have see it for the 720p version. Great security camera with good app support.

Update: Promo has just changed from £12 off to £7 off. Still good deal just not as good!

Bought one!

If like me, you've bought one but can't think why, I suggest set this up to remote view all the other stuff bought from HotUKDeals that aren't needed!!

If anyone is looking to convert amazon credit to cash CEX offer £23 for this. (make 1p/ turn voucher to cash)
Bought yesterday for £4 more
If this is wireless how is it charged?
It looks like it doesn't have a network port so you have to rely on wifi.

I got a cheap IP cam in my front porch and it works much better plugged in to my network especially when viewing on a wifi device like my mobile phone.
Ordered thanks, will give it a try.

It’s a network security camera but I think they have ditched the network cable so you can use a wireless network.

Bought yesterday for £4 more

I bought one 2 days ago at £12 more Chatting to Amazon now to see if I can get a bit of a refund.
Edit: £10 credit applied to my bank account I think. Got to wait until it arrives. @Munkee just chat to them and you may get a credit on your account.

720p version is good. I have one indoors. I also have 1080p versions, so I'm happy with both versions.

Is it worth paying £40 for the 1080p version?

I would say yes, that extra may be the difference between getting a clear picture of a burglar or not.

You need to apply promotion (just under the buy it button) then add to basket. Promotion needs to be redeemed first.
Can anyone advise me if this is better than the ie geek 264 which is also on Amazon thanks in advance
Bought yesterday for £34.99 - just cancelled, reordered and saved £12 - fantastic!!! Heat added!!!
The only downside I can see to the 720p version is that it's only available in white from Amazon - you're more likely to experience reflections of the device when looking out a window.

Hukd in a nut shell.
I'm interested in one but have a couple of reservations. Firstly, the size isn't great... It sticks out a mile making it obvious to any burglar. Because of that, I'm worried that a burglar would break in and tear the camera from its fitting, taking the footage on the SD card with them.

I know that you can subscribe to the online service but without this, would the above situation lose all footage in the event of a break in?

The camera detects movement and then immediately sends you a a warning with short video clip to your phone. You can then save to your phone, so you have the evidence of anyone breaking in before they have time to disconnect the camera. It works well, personally bacause of this facility I don't bother with an micro SD card which is very vulnerable in any case.

Can anyone tell me if the camera is compatible with the echo show please? Can you view live via the show on command?
