A very good price for this set. Even if you're a primeless man like me (trial expired, cue violins) £7.98 is still an excellent price for these challenging albeit compelling films. For non-Prime members, some third-party sellers have this for £6.93 inc delivery.

The Act of Killing
In the 1960s, Anwar Congo was a leader in Indonesia's pro-regime paramilitary the Pancasila Youth who, along with his band of dedicated followers, was amongst those who participated in the murder and torture more than a million alleged Communists, ethnic Chinese and intellectuals. Proud of their deeds and completely unpunished, Anwar and his pals are delighted when the film's director ask them to re-enact these murders for their documentary - in any genre they desire. Initially Anwar and his friends enthusiastically take up the challenge using hired actors, making elaborate sets and costumes and even using pyrotechnic, but eventually as the movie violence is played out and reconstructed, Anwar finally begins to feel unease and remorse.

The Look of Silence
Through Joshua Oppenheimer's work filming perpetrators of the Indonesian genocide, a family of survivors discovers how their son was murdered and the identity of the men who killed him. The youngest brother is determined to break the spell of silence and fear under which the survivors live, and so confronts the men responsible for his brother's murder - something unimaginable in a country where killers remain in power.

Saw this earlier, huge bargain considering it's the same price for just one of them!

I paid £6.99 for The Look of Silence a few months ago so £3 each for two of the best documentaries of our time is better than a kick in the teeth.

Get these if you don't have them already! Even if you have one of them, entirely makes sense to buy this set and give the duplicate away to friends/family.

Awesome deal OP. Shame there aren't more film buffs on hot UK Deals to appreciate deals on less mainstream cinema like this.

I don't know why anyone would want to watch these more than one, they are brilliant, but throughly depressing.....

saying that I've watched World at War about a dozen times.

Best documentary series ever made about WWII, it's incredible. Made at a time before political correctness took hold of the world. You could call a Nazi a Nazi!!

The Act of Killing is an absolutely amazing film
