What didn't you like?

When I sat up I just sunk further into the mattress, I got in touch after 3 weeks of trying to get on with it.

They then said, oh we can send you a topper, unzip the mattress place the topper in, then zip it up again

So they sent out the topper

I did as requested, it did make a little difference, but still could not get on with it, plus it was very hot and sweaty

price with discount is £257.40
Cheers. I put a link to a king but it switched it to a single I’ll fix
Absolutely love our one too. Had a J L one which was 3 times the price and was so uncomfortable in comparison
Mine went back after 76 nights
Are they too hot in Summer?
got one on order, they refunded the difference immediately - hot!

To be honest i did notice it’s a bit warmer but not hot. Didn’t bother me
Absolutely love my Emma mattress. I've a bad back and it's been great. Warmth not an issue. I'm a very warm sleeper and I don't find it noticeably warmer than any other mattress we have had. It won the which test last year. That was why I bought it over others.

Thanks
Looked at these but decided to go hybrid and have ordered an Otty.
Tried SIMBA for 90 odd nights and it crippled me so went with an EMMA and it is divine.
Cheers Always wanted to sleep on Emma and the large pillows are a bonus
Hi HUKD - We have had both LEESA and CASPER mattresses, and both really made my shoulders hurt (no apparent pressure relief?) - does anyone think this would be different? Not had much luck with mattresses as our current silentnight geltex mattress is going back for refund as faulty!
Typical, mine arrived yesterday and I overpaid by £36 - now emailed them asking for a refund of the difference
Been looking for a mattress deal on a king size. First the Simba one earlier today had me tempted, now this one is cheaper, but no idea if it's any better. The 100 day trial gives me some confidence to try, but it's still a lot of money.

I have one and I wish I’d done this, I have the original memory foam as opposed to hybrid and less than a year after buying it’s started to lose its shape. Never again. Pocket sprung only going forward.

I'm in thr market for a new mattress mainly to help with a lower back issue.
From speaking to an expert about specifically this Emma item he strongly advised avoiding foam mattresses that are delivered rolled up and in boxes. If it has been sitting around for a while before being sold it wont always reset to its correct shape.
Also foam mattreses typically lose their effectiveness after a year. They also retain heat and need a slatted base rather than a duvan base so that air can flow and stop moisture/ mould growing (not bacteria as I incorrectly wrote)

Sorry pal but did you meet your expert in the pub...total rubbish all of it...you think tempur would still be going if your expert was correct....do a little research...plus would NASA have used memory foam if it was as bad as your expert states...😜
I love all the random names these mattress manufacturers come up with, can't wait for the Colin mattress

Yours doesn't sound much better, and both are just views

You forgot to also mention that there are different grades of memory foam

I thought I'd do as Rob suggested and validate his advice, shown below. Happy for you to share conflicting research if you have any, as education is good.

memoryfoamwarehouse.co.uk/blo…ess

"Sufficient ventilation is thing to be aware of when pairing a divan base with a memory foam mattress. Good quality divans will have ventilation holes built in to allow for air to flow freely around the mattress. However, this might not the case with cheap poor quality bed frames and is definitely worth checking.

Lack of airflow around your memory foam mattress could result in moisture building up – and in the worst case scenario, mould."

memoryfoamwarehouse.co.uk/blo…-up

"Similarly, you should not keep a mattress-in-a-box compressed and wrapped up in its packaging for longer than 2 months as the foam layers could become damaged."
we have a low slatted wooden bed frame with airflow underneath - would this work on one of these mattresses in king size?

Sounds ideal to me but I'm sure actual owners will be able to advise.
I have a slatted base, so in theory in should have sufficient ventilation, but I do recall the one time we tried a memory foam mattress topper that it went mouldy after 2 years. That's one thing with a topper, another thing with a whole mattress. Concerned now that I should be looking for a pocket sprung after all. More confused than ever now and desperately need a new mattress.

we had a memory foam mattress before our current one for 3/4 years with a topper on it and never went mouldy.
bed is close to the floor but we did take the topper off every now and again and stick in washing machine and tumble to plump it up

This or the Dormeo Memory Plus deal. What you think, guys? Both seem good and infinitely better than the stuff I saw in Dreams and Bensons at this price point (which is almost none to be fair).
Hmm, never mind, maybe it's not a decision. Price difference is much bigger than I thought at first. Oops.
This or one of those gel style mattress from ebay for 240 on ebay
