Hollywood 1927. George Valentin (Jean Dujardin) is a silent movie superstar. The advent of the talkies will sound the death knell for his career and see him fall into oblivion. Me for one and up till 1927-30 several million people around the world watched silent films ;-) Not everything is CG dinosaurs/ Orks/ superheroes.

For £2.99, surely worth anyone trying it out - you may broaden your horizons! Heat added.

Have you ever actually watched a restored B&W movie? Try a Criterion released blu-ray. I love film - old, new, whatever. I just don't think we should disregard an earlier art form just because they've been superseded by newer tech. You might as well burn the Mona Lisa as that's a bit 'old fashioned' too.....

Only having a smile with you, in answer to your question I can't say I have. The only two things I still watch from time to time in B&W are Steptoe and Son and Carry On
