Both films are intense, intelligent portrayals of grief and trauma rather than your standard "jump scare" horror that most want / expect.

Hereditary wasn't as consistent as babodook in my opinion, the last third of it was a bit over the top and it lost it's creepy atmosphere and just went all out "head removal" crazy.

On first viewing I wasn't a fan. Enjoyed it more on the next view.

Essie Davis looks completely different in the Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries!

Plus I know one of the cops in the police station! Worked with him at a local chain store in West Yorkshire a decade ago.
Price is good and voted hot, however as @Nicholas_B points out above don't expect scary moments and gore. I placed it in the same bucket as Blair Witch - poor. Definately not your Mama, Conjuring, Insidiuos type of flick. All goes down to personal taste.
Great price, maybe I'm getting old, but I didn't find it that engaging. I still like quoting from it though "Babadook"!
Almost comedy. I also watched Drag me to Hell and that really is difficult to take as a horror movie
Superb film.
Boring film

I agree with other guy. They are both totally overrated.

But for £1.5 you haven't lost much... A part from your time... And £1.5 😁
I enjoyed this. Horror is my fave genre, and I love me a slow burner. Thanks for posting

Couldn't agree more on Hereditary. Superb up until the falling out the window bit. Should've gone "click" and ended it there! As it was the bat sh*t ending with the unnecessary explanation undid a lot of good work.

I had exactly these thoughts while watching, too. I'm glad someone else agrees - the people I watch it with loved it from start to finish! Also wasn't much of a fan of the second half of Midsommar, if you've seen that.

Wrong one! It's the other guy. Emigrated a good few years ago from West Yorkshire.
