Great book, as an avid gym goer i found myself engrossed in this on a recent visit to Waterstones, load of great workouts and tips from the years of the great man. Was £20.99 in there and just found it on amazon reduced for an absolute steal of a price!

Great Book, Great Motivation = Great Pump!

Arnolds tips... Dianabol is the breakfast of champions :-D heat added mate looks a good read

Buying. Man love coming your way

had this book years, great advice for all levels of training... Bargain at this price!

Would buy but can't read.

Education is important but big biceps are importanter

Added some heat as the price is low but how does it compare to books like High-Intensity Training the Mike Mentzer Way; Body by Science or Body for Life?

Surely a lot of the information in all the books have been published in articles and on the web.

I have not read this book but perhaps some training styles suit different people better? Or does this book go into depth of different approaches like super slow; HIIT and when best to use them? Maybe even some of the information could nowadays be deemed outdated or not?

Everyone has their own workout and no matter who you talk to they'll tell you something different. Not everything works on everyone but I believe any workout is better than none. Knowledge is invaluable, so even if reading it gives you something new to try or something to 'mix it up' or even just some new motivation then I'm all for it

This was originally released in 1999 but has recently been updated with new techniques, diet advice and new scientific research to aid progression.

ordered for oh

Thanks for the reply.

I agree different approaches will work for different people and there will be several views and opinions depending who is asked.

Good to know they have updated the book because it states copyright 1985 when viewing Look Inside on Amazon. Fireside first published it in 1999. I may get a copy as there is likely to be some interesting and helpful things inside. Possibly the Joe Weider magazines have been using some of the contents for years or some of the information in the magazine articles has found its way in the updated versions of the book. Apparently Joe and Arnie were close friends.

Do you get a free tin of Creatine with this?

My friend had an earlier edition of this book in the 90's. It really is a very comprehensive guide to the world of bodybuilding and weight training. It gives you detailed information on a range of exercises for each body part which will allow you to put together an effective and balanced workout routine. The only thing you won't find in here is the actual willpower to complete your training and eat healthily. Heat added and I've finally bought myself a copy.

Something else I didn't know I needed in my life... there you go Amazon have my money

Oh, and don't forget topcashback offer 3.67% cashback on Amazon book purchases so that saves you another 32p.

Its a pretty hefty book! You could probably use it instead of a medicine ball!

I got £2 app store credit with this purchase too! Bargain forgot about TCB as always though

Tempted but how much better is it than using bodybuilding. Com.. Also bigger leaner and stronger is a good wood.

If I hollow out the centre of this book, will it big enough to conceal hypodermic needles and some bottles of, emmmm, liquid sugar? And does it come with a foreword by Lance Armstrong - I need some inspiration from the honest joes of sport! X)

Had this for years. It's like a bodybuilding training guide but on steroids! ... oh wait.

As a teenage bodybuilder who wants to go on to become even better I have decided to purchase this, something I thought I'd never need.
Thanks

I bought this for £25 and it was worth every penny.

Dispense of the outdated and unscientific nutrition advice and just enjoy it. It's almost an autobiography, told through the medium of different exercises.

Yes. You can even fit a Mexican 'home help' in there too for when you get bored and want to have illegitimate children.

In fairness it wont contain anabolic steroids either, which are a requirement to achieve the muscular gains which Arnie made.. You may have ten times his willpower and better genetics but you wont get a body like his without abusing Droids. He seems a nice guy though.

loke i know, who owns,a gym met him a few times in early days.wudnt show, off his, muscles unless you put money in a pot.anyhow the way he trains would kill a normal person.massive amounts of drugs from age 15 onwards.best book ever written on bodybuilding is beyond brawn.read that instead of this crap.

I don't really see why everyone is focusing on Arnold's use of steroids. Not everyone who trains with weights wants to be a competitive body builder and for a relatively small fee you will gain enough information from this book in order to be able to improve your physique if you put the effort in. Steroid use is optional and certainly not a prerequisite of purchasing this book. And for what it's worth I believe Beyond Built by Bob Paris to be the best bodybuilding book that I've read.
