In this classic TV sitcom, Gordon Brittas (Chris Barrie) is the manager of Whitbury New Town Leisure Centre. He means well, wants to do well and desperately wants to be a good manager. Unfortunately his best talent is to continually create recipes for total disaster.

Deep down Brittas cares for his staff, but all he ever seems to do is make their lives more difficult. Trying to rise above this, and to keep the Centre running smoothly, are his assistant Laura (Julia St John) and of course Colin, complete with boil!

Behind every good man, so the saying goes, is a good woman, and behind every maniac, is a good woman losing her sanity! Helen Brittas (Pippa Haywood) is no different as she struggles to cope with her husband's misplaced enthusiasm.

This set features all seven series in their entirety - the complete Brittas Empire.

Yes Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeexxxxcelent! why do you never see this on dave/watch or gold i wonder?

they use to run it alot, thats probably why you dont see it nowdays.

voted hot this is good.

It's on UK Gold or whatever they call it now, early in the morning!

Brittas Empire was great, 2nd best thing Chris Barrie ever did (Red Dwarf tops the list of course!). Good price for the complete set - hot.

can't believe they were 7 series

i hated Brittas, never saw what was funny about it.

Oh it was funny. Didn't realise there were 7 series!

£26 is a reasonable price.

If you already have some of the series seperately they are £4.50 on sendit or £4.33 on the Hut. I already have series 1 and 2. So I would probably go this route. Really depends how much you like Brittas Empire. (Just noticed some of the later series are 6.49 on sendit)

The trouble is I have a dream. hehe.

It is an excellent boxset. I very much enjoyed series 1 and 2.

Best program in the world.

Because it is terrible!

You couldn't pay me £26 to watch an episode of this.

this is a fantastic show and a fantastic deal. my mate got me into this a couple of years back and I got the box set when it was nigh on £60 so this is fantastic. go and buy I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a cringeworthy laugh.

how moronic. if you dont like the show, then dont come into the thread and say how much you hate it.

it should be a bannable offence to come in and troll just because youre not a fan - just dont come into the thread.

i love the series, paid about this years ago and watched the whole lot - i do have to say though that the final ever episode - well not spoiling it for those who havent seen them all, but it was a bit of a kick in the teeth.

Or I got it for £20 delivered from eurekavideo.co.uk/off…tml , thanks and any rep to moderntoss for the info in a thread a month ago. Still appear to have stock, some great classic films too.

not bad, anybody know if the fopp deal is still on?

Really? £52 pound an hour for sitting on a sofa. You must have a massive salary to turn that down. Methinks the lady doth exaggerate to a ridiculous degree.
