Good price for the trilogy

How in gods name were there three of these!!?!?!

Good price i suppose for three films, but people seem to be going crazy and buying anything on Blu-ray if it's 'cheap'

Not voted either way

The first one was amazing, the second one was crap and the same with the third.

Original Poster

Yeah i'm waiting for the first movie to be released by itself.

I'd pay this much for the first one alone, to be honest. Possibly my favourite film of all time.

Damn, just about to buy a BD player and would have considered this if reviews in here weren't so bad as like others, I loved the first one. Oh well...

Yeah just seen they're not selling 1 separately, gutted.

Not at all. I didn't buy this trilogy, though so don't worry.

I would have to say it's one of my favourite films too, it's just a great concept for a film.

just looked up review for the 2nd one...

"Bottom line. Bad acting, bad story, bad special effects, bad audio, bad everything"

I thought the first one was a great film though......

Is BLU10 a universal code for any Bluray?

got this on a preorder, i think i paid the same price. bloody bargain

number 1 is amazing, 2 was ok and the 3rd was good

great buy though

I didn't enjoy the first film so I can imagine I wouldn't enjoy the other two if they are meant to be worse. Still a good deal if you like this sort of film. I seem to remember the first film having a huge flaw in it but I can't remember what it was.

I've seen all three of these movies and just let me say, they start off great and then just descend into sheer it's-so-bad-it's-funny territory.

I have the first movie on DVD and will definitely be looking forward to when it comes out, on its own, on Blu-ray. You have to laugh at whoever thought up of putting all three movies together, because they knew full well there'd be people who would buy it just for the first movie.

is "Buy Ray" a new format or something ?

a third?! voting cold... this buy ray format sounds like it will flop.

The 1st film was excellent. Good cast, big budget and interesting plot. WELL worth seeing. Great alternative ending too!

The 2nd (direct to video) film was AWFUL! It seemed to be all about accounting mistakes !?

I haven't seen the 3rd , but it gets reviews similar to the 2nd.

This is neutral for me as while it might be a good price for 3 blu-rays, I don't think the sequels are worth a penny!

Sales have been growing since 2006, and there's no reason for it to lose popularity especially with the rise of HDTVs. However don't expect it to ever replace DVD.

thats what the luddites said about vinyl & CD. Of course, blu-ray will be bigger than dvd in a few years now that players are sub-£50 and the films are coming down to around £5-£8

I have this on Blu Ray already - the three films come on two discs. The first film is outstanding, the others are worth watching but nowhere near as good as the first imho (the third is better than the second though).

Note that you do NOT get all the alternative endings of the first film, in fact there is very litle in terms of extras.

Agree, what a great film.

My thoughts exactly. These must be straight to DVD releases or something. Kinda like "Dusk till Dawn 2 & 3", "Home Alone 3 & 4"... etc etc etc... Milking it big time, destroying the memory of the original.

I think they were pointing out the spelling mistake "Buy Ray", not making a genuine comment on Blu Ray ;-)

Prefered The Simpsons p**-take on the "Butterfly effect"

Wouldn't bet on it.
When DVD came out, there was a rush to get players and discs.
No such rush now.
Just those who will buy solely to own the "latest".
Why else do you think the prices for Bluray players and discsare dropping like stones ?
THEY AREN'T SELLING

LOL - thats why blu-ray sales has increased by 300% year on year since 2007 and dvd sales are falling by 10-20% each year.

Blu-ray revenues are expected to beat dvd revenues in the USA this year!

The only areas of growth in 2009 according to the consumer electronics association were Blu Ray players, laptops & LCD TVs.

I take it you have seen the hottest deal of this week......

DVD sales still account for +85% of the home video market in the US, so Blu-ray still has a long way to go before dethroning DVD as the home video format of choice. One thing to remember is that while a 300% increase may appear great, going from 1-4% is also a 300% increase. ;-)
