Features

  • HORROR ENGINEERING - The Callisto Protocol is a next-generation take on survival horror from the mind of Glen Schofield. Blending atmosphere, tension, and brutality with terrifying moments of helplessness and humanity, The Callisto Protocol immerses players in a pulse-pounding story where unspeakable horrors lurk around every corner.
  • UNCOVER THE SECRETS OF THE UNITED JUPITER COMPANY - Set on Jupiter’s dead moon Callisto in the year 2320, The Callisto Protocol casts players as Jacob Lee, an inmate in Black Iron Prison. When a mysterious outbreak throws the moon into chaos, Jacob must face his darkest fears to defeat the bloodthirsty creatures that stalk him as he unravels the dark mysteries at the heart of the powerful United Jupiter Company.
  • MASTER BRUTAL, STRATEGIC COMBAT - The Callisto Protocol challenges players to master a thrilling blend of hand-to-hand and ranged combat, including a unique gravity weapon once used by Black Iron guards to control the prison population. Players will be forced to get up close and personal with their grotesque opponents, hacking off limbs, blasting off legs, and getting creative with whatever is at their disposal to survive each life-or-death encounter.
  • EXPERIENCE THE ISOLATION OF JUPITER'S DEAD MOON - One of the most hostile, isolated environments in the universe, Callisto looms large over Jacob’s desperate struggle to survive. Players must not only contend with the horrors of Black Iron Prison, but also the centuries-old secrets that plague Jupiter’s long-dead moon, both above and below the surface.

Price dropping quickly, anyone played this?

Got it on PC. It's short and very linear but that suits me fine and I enjoyed the game a lot.

If you love survival horror you'll love this. Ignore the reviews as it has had a recent patch to sort alot of the issues from Day One.

They are unlikely to fix the uninspired gameplay with a patch. I’ll give it a go when it’s a tenner.

I haven’t played it reviews seem to suggest combat I’d a bit on the mediocre side, I’m intrigued but I’ll hold of for a better price further down the line

Totally agree whoever came up with that logo needs to be sent the ends of the Earth and have they stare at one word.

Lad completed it in 4 hours said it was good but very short tbh expensive as it is even at this price, AAA games are a rip off nowadays lucky he got it with this graphics card and didn't pay for it.

I would stick to indie games and give the money to people who care about the game they are creating.

Lol you need to have a word with your lad re honesty. He didn’t complete this game in 4 hours

Thanks OP but this will drop as soon as the new Dead space is released at the end of January. Will hold on for a little while longer

Wondering that myself, prefer the base name vs the new one.

Played maybe half of it, got a corridor with about 4 enemies at once that kept upgrading themselves, so gave up at that point and sold it for Crisis Core. Might give it another go when cheaper but I'm in no rush

    Hope they make a sequel

Trash game, combat is horrible, cumbersome. Tried to get into it but couldn't, looks pretty but is completely shallow deep down.

I enjoyed the game pre-ordered it with an eBay offer for just less than this price. Traded it in before Christmas for £26 so played and completed for a tenner. Sci fi horror fans and big fans of dead space will probably be happy but I imagine the casual gamer won't get into it

Decent game. At no point was I scared or shocked so loathe to call this a worthy successor to dead space. Also hard to call it survival horror considering how readily available ammo is. It is gorgeous and the story is pretty good. It's not amazing but also not as awful as some claim.

I started to play this and it was super janky and kept crashing but the update seems to have stabilised it a bit. It's a relatively straightforward actioner rather than a survival horror which I was a bit disappointed about as there's no real sense of dread that makes Survival Horrors so compelling. It is brutal though.
