Would make a great present, make sure they don't have them first. Also does anyone know if the book people have stopped using gigantic boxes with only a few books in the corner, although they make good boxes to keep all your books in.

Having bought this yesterday, I went to post it on HUKD and it highlighted this as a deal that had already been posted previously on here, hence why I didn't duplicate.

Edit: Oops! I see the previous post appeared to have been expired hotukdeals.com/ite…ll/

I bought this about a year ago for my 3 year old daughter and read through them all several times now. She loves getting her Dora story before bed-time, so much so we cannot read her anything else!

She loves it but there is only so much 'we did it' and 'vamanos' I can take

Good deal

Thanks for this, my little girl will be very happy.
Free delivery voucher didn't work for me, but it was only £1.75.

Great find - heat added

free delivery expired on 26 june according to the link.

Dreadful deal. Think about this carefully before you buy. I rushed in and bought these 20 books for £9.99 about 2 years ago. Beleive me you do not need 20 of these, frankly not very good books. Yes they are kid friendly and kids like them but 20??????
When we moved house 17 of them got lost to the charity shop. 3 is about all I can handle.

:? Why? 20 books is absolutely fine. My DD is nearly 5 and has a huge bookcase full of books! She loves them! You can never have too many books IMO. Definitely not a reason to call it a dreadful deal. I think they're Ideal bedtime stories, 2 of these is just about right.

Would not agree Savage, my daughter loves these books (she's three) and constantly picks a different story most evenings to read through. They are good for reading aloud together - certainly better than the likes of the Pepa Pig books (of which we have a similar set of many) but not as good as say Gruffalo/Room on A Broom/Bear Hunt - all of which I would recommend if you are after some really good 'uns, but these are considerably shorter to get through.
As a result she got through her first trip to the dentist with no issues thanks to one of the stories (with the help of a star sticker and purple toothbrush bought in advance like Dora got in the book). She can count to ten in Spanish as the result of another, as well as other words such as hello/thank you/etc that she has picked up from the stories over the months we have read them to her. I often catch her flicking through them herself too after we leave her to go to sleep.

Sounds exactly like my daughter, lol. I think having loads of books read to and looked at from as early as poss can only be of an advantage to children! Sites like The Book People just make this really cheap too!

LOL dont get your knickers in a twist. We have loads of books (my mum works in a bookshop) and I buy loads from the book people. I agree that you can never have too many books, in theory! But good books and frankly there are much better books out there and I would rather read my 3,5,7,8,10 yr olds books that I personally feel are better quality. My kids look at books in bed too! It is not just Dora that helps this, and why on earth would a 3 yr old in this day and age have issues going to the dentist...LOL
But then I cancelled Sky because I cant bear the incessant adverts and terrible programs, so fortunately my kids are over 'Dora'. It is a good program and I dont mind a few books, but give your kids some of these AND some others.... As said, Gruffalo , Bear hunt etc are brilliant books.

Manda each of my kids has a huge bookcase and my 5 and 7 year old now have a reading age of 10, but this is not due to reading Dora...it is due to reading loats and lots of good books.
It wasnt supposed to be a debate, it was a jokey comment, most normal parents would really not want to only read their kids 20 Dora books. (Maybe they would in this country?)
