It's actually cheaper to buy the two series separately:

Series 1 £6.99 at TheHut.com + 5% discount (PRICEDASH) = £6.64
Series 2 £6.89 at Amazon Jersey = £6.89
TOTAL = £13.53

If you have Quidco, then:

Series 1 £6.99 at TheHut.com + 5% discount (PRICEDASH) + 7% Quidco = £6.17
Series 2 £6.99 at HMV + 9% Quidco = £6.36
TOTAL = £12.53

But then of course you don't get a nice box. :giggle:

Thanks for that BristolDeal Are the special features the same if bought seperately?

Series 1 has none, Series 2 has:

Exclusive interview with John Cleese
Exclusive interview with Prunella Scales
Director commentary
Artist profiles
Scene selection
Special Basil Fawlty link
Digitally remastered
Outtakes
Includes a special illustrated booklet

...so you can have an extra short film about Torquay. :giggle:

Thanks again for the extra info

Editor

Thanks tan41 and welcome to hukd's .. you done great on your first deal post especially the pic :thumbsup: Thanks for the extra info too Bristoldeal

I always find it amazing that there were only 12 episodes as whenever I watch it I never feel like I've seen it before or very rarely, yet they are on quite frequently on sky.

Whereas with the simpsons which has over 100 episodes, i watch nearly every episode knowing i've seen it before.

Am I making any sense lol?

Good deal anyway cheers

I know what you mean Caesar They are old, but the comedy is timeless. I find Blackadder like this too, if it's on telly, I nearly always have to watch it.

Thanks all:thumbsup: ....i haven't watched the dvds yet myself as i've bought them for the hubby for his birthday(which is November).He loved the series ,and i agree, they are a timeless comedy.
I must quickly say what a great site this is...i've picked up many a great deal from other peoples watchful eyes...thank you:thumbsup: I'm gonna do my bit now:giggle:

TYVM Tan . Just bought this for myself as a treat. So so funny, i love flowery ****s.

I often wondered if I imagined that anagram on the credits! I remember my dad having the episodes on VHS that he'd recorded off the TV, but I never remember seeing it after that. Glad to know I DIDN'T make it up!
