If you are a fan of graphic novels and aint familiar with this; well, quite frankly - get familiar with it. Puts most other books (and not just graphic novels) into the shade. Simply stunning book.

Combined for the first time here are Maus I: A Survivor's Tale and Maus II - the complete story of Vladek Spiegelman and his wife, living and surviving in Hitler's Europe. By addressing the horror of the Holocaust through cartoons, the author captures the everyday reality of fear and is able to explore the guilt, relief and extraordinary sensation of survival - and how the children of survivors are in their own way affected by the trials of their parents. A contemporary classic of immeasurable significance.

About the Author
Art Spiegelman is a contributing editor and artist for the New Yorker. His drawings and prints have been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Maus, and a Guggenheim fellowship. It was also nominated for the National Book Critics Award. He lives in New York.

This book is REALLY good. I'm not usually a fan of comics, but this one is absolutely stellar. It's not your run of the mill comic book either.

The only graphic novel I've ever owned. Great work of literature.

And ahead of it's time in terms of depicting cats looking like Hitler (_;)

I was given Watchmen at Christmas a few years ago and was totally bowled over by it. At first, I considered it a stocking filler and wasn't interested, but once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down.

I've had Maus in my Amazon basket for over a year now. About time I bought it, especially at this price.

Heat!

Says the code is invalid.

Thought this was a Deadmau5 graphic novel for a second there!

help! cant find the box to enter code!!! also, it is the "book depository" website and not the "book people" right?

Awesome book. This and the watchmen are the two best graphic novels I have ever read. Any other recommendations anyone?

Yeah, great deal.

Best written comic I've read thus far, doubtful that it can be topped.

Persepolis parts 1&2 by Marjane Satrapi which were later converted into a movie of the same name. It's an autobiographical novel set in the time of the Iraq/Iran war and the Iranian islamic revolution, it's very charming, funny and heartbreaking all at the same time.
Lenore by Roman Dirge if you are feeling in a mood for a comedy about a cute little dead girl.
Bear by Jamie Smart which is just random and rather hilarious,
Johnny the Homicidal Maniac by Jhonen Vasquez (the same guy behind the amazing cartoon: Invader Zim.)

and far too many Manga to mention.
