Based on the best-selling John le Carre novel. In a remote area of Northern Kenya, activist Tessa Quayle (Rachel Weisz) is found brutally murdered. Tessa's companion, a doctor, appears to have fled the scene, and the evidence points to a crime of passion. Members of the British High Commission in Nairobi assume that Tessa's widower, their mild-mannered and unambitious colleague Justin Quayle (Ralph Fiennes), will leave the matter to them. They could not be more wrong. Haunted by remorse and jarred by rumours of his late wife's infidelities, Quayle surprises everyone by embarking on a personal odyssey that will take him across three continents. Using his privileged access to diplomatic secrets, he will risk his own life, stopping at nothing to uncover and expose the truth - a conspiracy more far-reaching and deadly than Quayle could ever have imagined. Rachel Weisz won the Oscar (R) for best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role at the 2006 Academy Awards. The film also won a BAFTA for Editing.

Love this film, although Rachel Weisz was overrated in it, Ralph Fiennes puts in the best performance IMHO

Voted hot, thanks...

Well worth £2.99

After visiting Kibera myself this film has always brought back memories. Also a fantastic film for the price.

Excellent film IMO

Price has gone up now and cheapest seem to be £3.99 @ HMV / Play

very good film, already own it and paid a lot more than this for it. Just a unique take on a crime thriller, working backwards to join the clue to find the reason for the murder.

Beautifully shot, great performances - big thumbs up

Welcome to HUKD MichaelPlace

In 'Zavvi' yesterday (the new brand for Virgin Megastore) in Exeter they had this for £3. They also had Last of Mohicans, Scarface, and a few others. For £2 was Short Circuit, Flight of the Navigator, Ghostbusters, and again others I can't quite remember.

This Film Is Amazingly Good!
