Brian Clough was one of a kind.

In 1974, Clough was already a renowned figure, just as much for his dynamic personality as for his fantastic managerial ability. Having led Derby County to the first league victory in their history, Clough left in a cloud of controversy and, after a brief spell at Brighton, found himself in the Leeds United hotseat after Don Revie's departure for the England job.

The Damned United, based on David Peace's book of the same name, follows the tempestuous 44 days that Clough managed Leeds United. After alienating the side's star players and a string of awful results, Clough was sacked but that was only half the story...

Good film. Not a Blu Ray film though.

well, maybe not a film that is enhanced by the extra definition maybe, but if that was the only criteria required for high definition releases, we'd still be watching most films on VHS.

funny, that's what I thought when I read your post too.

HD doesn't have to be all about explosions and special effects, you know.

Cold. A film built on lies.

+1

Saw this a few weeks back.
Loved the Clough/Revie interview.
£3.99 in Aldi on Blu Ray? Sounds too good to be true!

Think Aldi would be DVD, they don't do blu's as far as i know. Until i'm proved otherwise :whistling:

I would also say cold because i'm a Leicester fan, but I wouldn't stoop that low, except say see you at wembley!!

my local did have a few blu's before christmas, they had them locked up in those cabinets they have by the checkout to give you something to look at while you wait in the queue for 4 hours as they only have the one till open, but haven't seen any in stock there for months now.

Also, as a Newcastle fan I'd like to see Leicester go up for Nigel Pearson, he's done a superb job for you guys, though I must admit, seeing Ian Holloway lead Blackpool into the Premiership would be a sight to behold next season! Definitely don't want Forest to go up though, can't stand Billy Davies, the bitter dwarf.

Sorry people this has gone back up to £9.99 :-(

Yeah, Pearson is a great guy and a great manager. Good to see you guys going up as champs. Knew it would only be a blip this season in the Championship. Have some rep for wanting Leicester promoted. See you in the prem next season!!
