Brilliant film and over 60 years old

Belverley hill cop sold out for ages

The message of this film is even more relevant today.... than it was then

Agreed. I watched the remake recently and was very disappointed by it, the original is so much more powerful. Interestingly - The original short story has a twist at the end, which is not contained in the original film.

Thanks! Also got La haine steel book for £6.99

What was the twist??

In the original story "Farewell to the master" by Harry Bates, Klaatu is killed and not successfully revived, and at the end when the robot Gnut is departing and is asked to tell it's masters that his death was an accident the robot replies "You misunderstand, I am the master."
