Damn, but this is a fine (and potentially life-changing) book.

Buy a copy

Now.

In fact, even better, thow a die. If you get a 1, 2 or 3, buy the book. If you get a 4 or a 5, don't. If you throw a 6, kiss the next person that you meet - then buy the book.

Really.

Heat & rep added . . .. for so many reasons!

Ok Buddy you've sold me the idea, ordering my copy now

Excellent book, often recommended this to people and i've never heard a bad thing about it from anyone. Been a favorite for years. Also, some down right filthyness that is extremely well written.

One of my all-time favourite books - can't recommend it highly enough. Out of the three books available in the world of Luke Rhinehart, this is the best. Book Of the Die is pretty interesting though if you want to take up Dice Life. Hot. I sound like a cultist...

I couldnt find a dice but instead tossed a domino. If it was face up I would buy it, obviously it landed on its edge, now I dont know what to do!

I bought this for £2 at the bookshop on Euston Road a few weeks ago, the one opposite the British Library.

Don't know anything about this book, but saw it in Poundland in Cardiff last weekend.
It was the same title.
About a dozen there.

Yes, definitely available in Poundland in paperback. I read it years ago and quite enjoyed it, but it's not life-changing.

Don't read this book if you are bored/ have nothing interesting in your life/ are impressionable or impulsive.
You could be heading for trouble.....

A great read, even for non reader lazy bones.

read this book about 20 yrs ago and every decision i made for ages i thought about using the dice

This was a brilliant TV programme when i used to watch it when i was younger i think it was on Bravo.

Excellent book, both for the story and the insight into human psychology. Any one with a brain should read this book at least once, then make your own decisions!

Make your own decisions or use a dice?

Unique book, very strange and as mentioned possibly very dangerous.

Doesn't that make you want to read it?

+1

Voted cold.

This is definitely not the best deal for this book if people take the time to have a look about.

Not only can you get it from Poundland but you can also pick it up from your local Fopp or HMV for around £2-£3 respectively.

P.S. It's just a book, it's not a bad read but it's certainly not life changing.

Whether or not it's life changing is entirely subjective - for some who applied the concept to their daily life it certainly is, for others it's just a story. You could find the Hungry Caterpillar life changing, but this had greater potential for an interesting few weeks and raised philosophical discussion on choice, freedom and fate when I was 14

I guess it's life changing in the way it makes you think about your life and your boundaries in a good and bad way.

In the book for example, 'Dice Man' kind of advocates rape, in that it's an option he gives himself.

It's also very 70's feeling and kind of degenarates into a bit of a hippy fest.

The premise is brilliant though and utterly fascinating. Would make a great film and I think it's been optioned several times.

It doesn't advocate it so much, without giving anything away, the outcome of the act's response makes it a moot point.
